Great video! Loved the skit, very creative 👍 I was looking at one of these sliders recently. I ended up getting the iFootage Shark Slider Nano. Due to current world events, I haven’t been able to use it on a real project yet, but will hopefully in the coming months. I still might hire out the Rhino for a shoot to see it in action 👍

Thanks! I’ve seen the iFootage Shark Nano. How does it handle your new Sony? Hopefully you’ll get to use it on many projects soon! I would definitely hire out the ARC II to give it a try. It handles my S1 fully caged with my Ninja V no problem. Very smooth and quick to setup.

Wild guess and a shot in the dark but i'm gonna say Tron Legacy. Only a hunch though probably wrong.

Thanks, Glen, for posting your video. I too am interested in using it for real estate videos and I had a question for you. I have the 42 inch carbon fiber rail and need a way to support the ends. A tripod is too cumbersome. The method I am using attaches to my tripod legs, but the problem is when I need to raise or lower the camera for the next shot. Too many micro adjustments are needed. Can you suggest a simpler solution? Maybe a monopod that can attach at each end and just drop to the ground for support. I think it would have to swing freely during shot relocation so as not to be damaged. Thanks.
@GlenReed
@GlenReed 2 года назад
Hey! Unfortunately because the 42" slider is so long I don't know of a way to safely support it other than how you've already described. You could alway get the smaller rails like I have. This makes it much more manageable to raise and lower the slider for different shots. Thanks for watching!

Definitely will use a slider at some point, but not at this price. Dig this clever video.
@GlenReed
@GlenReed 2 года назад
It definitely is a investment, but it does pay for itself. Kinda like a lens or new camera body. As your skills and equipment improves your work becomes more valuable and people are willing to pay more. Thanks for watching 🙂

@@GlenReed I completely agree! I've been practicing and familiarizing myself with the G85. My background in broadcasting doing hand held and studio pedestal cameras is certainly useful getting into this new career. But like that industry, my skills didn't develop overnight.
@GlenReed
@GlenReed 2 года назад
Broadcasting!! That’s cool! Just look at my earlier videos you can totally see it doesn’t happen overnight 🤣🤣. I remember doing a video and bringing every lamp in the house into the room, the walls looked like they were going nuclear 😂🤣🤣

@@GlenReed The Tv industry is not what it once was. There was more politics behind the camera than in front. I wish I had got into real estate photography and videography 10 yrs ago. So many details to learn. I went from being a part of a highly talented and cohesive team to complete autonomy. You are definitely a one man team here. It's intimidating but I like the autonomy.
@GlenReed
@GlenReed 2 года назад
That’s a shame. But thankfully we do have platforms that allow us to be one man bands and still make a living. It’s hard work for sure but the autonomy does have its benefits. I’ve only been doing the real estate stuff less than a year so if I can do it so can you! Trial and error!

Can you recommend an editor? I'm just getting started with Adobe LR, Photoshop and developing a website. I'm working on my editing skills and will be able to do this on my own within a month or so. But in the meantime, I need these shoots done correctly.
@GlenReed
@GlenReed 2 года назад
Unfortunately I don’t know any editors, I do it myself since it’s hard for me to give creative decisions to someone else. Fivor seems to be great place from what I understand.

8:30 Tilt/parallax tilt. Is that from the camera getting closer to the subject in the middle? Not sure what this issue is. The ARC 1 is in the middle, is it a non issue with that one?
@GlenReed
@GlenReed 2 года назад
It’s a little hard to explain but because the camera is not centered on the ARC II if the camera is tilted at all it make the image tilt as well when parallaxing. It’s easily correctable, but just thought I’d mention it. Hope this clarifies things. Thanks for watching!
@martinwoodfilms
@martinwoodfilms 2 года назад
@@GlenReed I'm curious if using a quick release plate to extend the camera to center would help with your issue..
@jamesbridges1107
@jamesbridges1107 2 года назад
@@martinwoodfilms often times this happens with sliders that are mounted in the center with a tripod. At the end of each slide the slider "dips". Try adding end supports.

Hi Glen, after 2 years, how is your Arc II battery holding up?
@GlenReed
@GlenReed 9 месяцев назад
So far so good. I have to make sure to keep it charged though, it slowly dies just sitting and leaving the battery dead is the worst you can do to a battery.
@ChadWork1
@ChadWork1 9 месяцев назад
@@GlenReed that’s actually what I was interested in. The battery draining when not in use is not normal. I could leave my Arc I unused for a year and it would hold the charge. I dropped my controller and Rhino doesn’t support that any more so either I find a used controller or the will sell me an Arc II for 500 bucks. Not sure if I want to upgrade even with the great deal.
@GlenReed
@GlenReed 9 месяцев назад
@ChadWork1 yeah not sure if it’s normal. I have other devices with lithium batteries that do the same thing. My new DJI Air 3 and original Mavic does the same thing, even my Hollyland Lark 150 wireless mics do the that. Just figured that’s how it’s supposed to work.

@@GlenReed True! The problem I’m having with it is not only how long it’s been since they promised to add new features but also how unreliable they are unfortunately and the system is somewhat outdated. You can easily pair the RS2 with the Syrp Genie Linear 2 and have more features, but also a great gimbal for less than 2000$.
@GlenReed

I’ve seen similar setups to the one you’ve talking about, like the one by Onion with the Ronin S. But for me this is the quickest and easiest to get up and running to get the shots I need.

Hmmm 🤔 from what I’ve seen and experienced they have great customer service. As a matter a fact I had a issue with my focus motor and they sent me a new one very quickly and without any problems. What kind of issues have you experienced that they were unable to resolve?
@oscarm4154

its fine with tiny cameras - but if you have just a medium camera like the Canon C70 even with a small 35mm on it the load is to big fro the tilt axis. So it´s far from the advertised load capability like really far. You get weird sounds like plastic grinding when you start a tilt move and the even worse it just drops in the tilt axis and you will get jumpy footage. Pretty disappointed just received 2 sets with the carbon rails and the hi speed motor. - Verdict: overpriced and a pretty crappy product - Don’t believe all the reviews - This one is from a user and not a paid reviewer.' Cheers´

@GlenReed 2 года назад
Hmmm 🤔 that’s really odd. I use my Panasonic S1 with a cage and my Atomos ninja all the time. Very heavy setup. The tilt axes is adjustable, you might want to look into that. Or contact the company if you have a defective unit, their customer service is pretty good.
