Our family lives in the commune of Albareto, province of Parma - which is only an hour and a half drive to the Cinque Terre. We left that region in the Apennine mountains, went over the pass and into the region of Liguria. It was amazing to begin in a white, snow covered landscape and then in under 2 hours, to feast our eyes on the turquoise Mediterranean! Our family certainly came from a gorgeous land rich in beauty and diversity.
