I got one of these with the 80cm flexi arm (KL15097) and cam lock fitting (KL04510). It works ok, I run it for 20 min at 60C with ChemClean (PBW) and then give a quick final scrub and water rinse. Easy finish to a brew day!

I'm really hoping Kegland starts at least to consider selling their whole catalogue of products in europe at some point. Obtaining their products is almost impossible if one doesn't want to order from china directly. These videos are great advertising, but the ways to get the products is rather frustrating.. and yes I have talked to all my go-to brew-shops if they can get all the products. They can't and won't.
@DavidHeathHomebrew
@DavidHeathHomebrew Год назад
I totally agree, though I see that Kegland are growing in terms of European stores that support their products.
@KegLand
@KegLand Год назад
KegLand is going to the Brau conference in Europe this year with the specific objective to create more awareness of our full range. This will also help to encourage more retailers to stock our full range. Hopefully this helps with product availability in the future. If customers ask their local retailers to stock the product this is often the fastest way to ensure they order it from one of our distributors.
@africantwin173
@africantwin173 Год назад
@@KegLandWhat about the X2 fermenters in EU. I'm not planning on getting the X2 from your distribution store in Norway. Since Norway is not a member of EU, and so we have high VAT import cost as a private costumer's.
@DavidHeathHomebrew
@DavidHeathHomebrew Год назад
The store I work for in Norway does not ship to customers outside of Norway.

I use a submersible pump with a PVC attachment that sprays the lines as well as the tank at around 10 gallons per minute big pressure all for around $20 bucks and I can use t-3 sub pump in case I flood out.
@DavidHeathHomebrew
@DavidHeathHomebrew Год назад
Cool. This CIP is actually a lot cheaper than 20 US though.

Had one of these for a couple of weeks now, works well as CIP. I like the idea of the flexi hose, good shout. Someone else mentioned recirculating wort and sparging was originally a function and this was mentioned in the write up when I purchased too, could you extend your video to show this? I did try sparging using gravity only from an elevated HLT, which actually worked. Though holding the pipe in place was a problem and connecting the flexi to my HLT might be an issue.

Great to hear. However this is not ideal for the other tasks you mention. KL do have another solution for those tasks coming in fact.

Might be strange to some, but I've always enjoyed the cleaning part of any of these big processes. Probably comes from my old life as a chef where cleaning always signified that everything was all done and you can finally rest, or maybe its just a strange kink, who knows.

The “original” low-volume CIP from Kegland was an multi purpose design, with a “CIP and recirculation diffusor in one”design, if my memory serves me right? Sadly the latter has been scrapped in this design. I have seen Kee commenting somewhere on a sparge/recirculation diffusor being in the pipeline. Do we know anything about the timeline?

Dude, you produce high signal to noise ratio, useful and very well informed expert videos. I appreciate that you have very high ethical values, and tremendous integrity. But, for the love of beer, affiliate links would really help a chap out. Even if you don’t like the product. We can all make up our own minds, and you can make a bit of bank for your channel, and reinvest the profits. Win win.

Wondering the same. thinking of elbow shaped rigid tubing attached to the recirc. hose to make it point downward so the lid can be used, the trick would be adding something to keep the hose in place and the rotor centered

Why on earth would that thing with it´s rather weak water squrting come anywhere near simply using a shower handle? It does not take hours to clean a fermenter, or a keg. A keg -which has no yeast residue- cleans in minutes, and then only needs rinsing. A fermenter needs some easy skrubbing, and is also done in minutes.
@DavidHeathHomebrew
@DavidHeathHomebrew Год назад
I can assure you that its far from weak!
