This is actually one of the greatest live performances I've ever seen. How terribly underrated... They sound great and the energy just keeps building- and peaks when he climbs up to the balcony. THIS is a high quality live display!
From their respective metalcore scenes in california and Pennsylvania to this, later they would go and support Linkin Park in a couple dates during their A Thousand Suns run. Circa was going places
He killed it I’ve watch these stupid live shows my whole like and he did the underground justice thank you Anthony for never disappointing us I’ve seen you live many times and your so further than anyone your my god
You dont really believe they are sober do you? JFC NEVER believe musicians when they say they are sober. They just say that so you dont think you are going to pay for a shitty show.
@@AbuseForViews Wow. I didnt know wife and kids makes you stop doing drugs. Thats incredible. Every junkie in the world is just single. Thats the problem! Your logic is astonishing.
I have NOT seen L.S. i saw Circa Survive back in 2007 at Voodoo Fest in New Orleans. There were beach balls and other blow-ups, very chill vibe, and everyone was definitely on their A Game musically.
I think I lost count of how many times I saw circa… mostly in Los Angeles and Orange County since I lived in Long Beach and those locations were fairly close. Tons of great bands that Anthony has been in… I wish I would have seen him in Saosin. I might of gotten a tattoo of Saosin instead of Circa lol
@@reenie_yaz his time w them was pretty short. Circa breaks my heart for going hiatus. They changed the Wikipedia from "was" to "is" meaning it's not like they broke up....but it scared the crap out of me at first.
It doesn't matter doing drugs or not they have and always will be the most influential and most lyrically inclined raw talent that I know of a band to be i have been listening to these guys since the very beginning and before when Anthony green was still in soasin but they are still underrated and deserve alot more recognition than they have gotten over the years I mean if only individuals took alot more seriousness to the approach in the way that they write and compose their music like these guyes with alot more emotion and actually putting in the energy to coming up with music with alot more depth in their maybe today's society in which music solomonly influences wouldn't be so fucked up as it is in what is in our now present day civilization but thats just in one of many of my opinions but congratulations circa it was great to see that you have gotten on a mainstream show such as jimmys and it was a pleasure to seeing you perform period good luck in the next coming of years in the future guys.
@@YourBoyWang As a musician, long-time Circa fan, and at the worst times of my life a mild to moderate drug abuser/self-medicater, this is only true when drugs are used safely and in strict moderation. Keeping a clear head the vast majority of the time is required in order to do the hard work of composing. That being said, certain drugs in certain settings can really spark certain creative headspaces that would otherwise be difficult (but NOT impossible to spark).
I was fortunate enough to have an older brother that showed me music. 2003 when he showed me saosin. And 2005 with circa. My favorite band to this date. Ive driven 5000 miles in my life just to see them..
Circa Survive's stuff is really the type of music you can't make without being very down to earth and aware of the world around you. If you are very up in your own head, it comes through I think. I'm thinking of Tilian from DGD right now.
@Master Shake Blue Sky Noise was actually their most successful album ever. Charting #11 on the billboards which is higher than any of their other albums besides The Amulet which was recent. Also Anthony has admitted himself he believes Violent Waves was the darkest album and time of the band because his addiction was rampant and out of control at that point. He was doing pain pills and heroin constantly. Not sure where you’re getting this info from but that’s what I’ve read.
@They're trying to weaponize it This isn't entirely accurate. Atlantic records didn't kick them out, Blue Sky Noise was a success, just not as big of one as they expected, so they cut the bands budget in half for the next record and Circa had some money saved so they decided to just say screw it and leave the label and record it themselves. Also Anthony wasn't clean when they made Violent waves, that was the height of his addiction, he was on pills during that record and after that record that escalated into a full blown Heroin addiction. Then he went to rehab.
His name is Colin Frangicetto.and these days he makes art. I think his name for art is space case or ADHD. If you look him up you'll find his art. It's cool
The people in the top row have no idea what’s happening lol I’m sorry but if Anthony Green climbs up to you and is rocking out you lose your shit and rock out too
Still believe that Anthony has the best stage presence ever. Ahhh the good ole days of a drugged out Anthony Green dancing like a weirdo and absolute legend. Then you have Anthony being badass and scaling the damn rafters trying to get closer to the fans above. I'm sure that Jimmy and the production company/network was scarred to death hoping Anthony did slip and fall.
This was the second time seeing them on TV. First time was for Carson Daly, but Anthony was sick and it was one of the worst things I've ever heard. Then I saw them on Fallon and this blew my mind. Blue Sky Noise has been in my top 3 favorite albums of all time since.
I remember seeing a documentary where it talked about Colin was playing in a different key and really you have to really hear it and notice the body languages of Brendan and the guys. That and when Colin messed up at the one acoustic AOL session way back when for the Pink Floyd cover, he always seems disappointed the performance. Kinda of sad because Brendan on his own merits is truly phenomenal top tier music artist on his guitar.
