I have ADHD and bipolar 2, and between those and a newly diagnosed circadian rhythm disorder (nonspecific unfortunately since my insurance doesn't cover sleep studies) the only thing I do consistently is be inconsistent. 😅
Great video. Thank you. I was born with dsps. Used to drive my parent crazy, and I have spent my life living the mornings like a zombie. Covid forced me to live a different life and I realised I have a sleep time best for me between 330 to 1148 ( yes that precise, really odd )…. Now I don’t fight my circadian rhythm and life is so much better, except the world has lived half the day by the time I’m getting up and once I’ve walked the dog whatever most people are starting to close their businesses up. Luckily I like quiet and alone time else those 10pm to 3pm hours would be so boring.
My clock is about 36 hours. I only start feeling tired after 26-27 hours and i sleep for 9 but then again my work schedule bounces from day shift to night shift multiple times a pay period. I feel fine unless i have to work during the 26-36 hour mark then i hit the caffine and kratom with my cigarettes on break. Im probably gonna get Alzheimer's at 40 but i gotta eat and have a roof over my head.
PLEASE reconsider your job choice now that employers are looking for people all the time. Dying isn't your biggest worry. You could live a long time in misery, both physical and psychological. We can keep a young body alive but very ill. You seem to have some insight into your damaging behaviors, so please reconsider the hopelessness.
I am a total insomniac, but I sleep during the day perfectly sleep at 7 am wake up at 430pm, I have a internet business so no pressure, works for me, but im a little weirded out by how well adjusted I am to this
I have it too, so I found a job that fits my sleep schedule. Not everyone with this problem can be so fortunate, but I suffered through years of 8-5 jobs and finally had enough and found one where I can go in a 1-2 in the afternoon and work until 9pm. It's perfect for me because my body wants to sleep 3-10 am.
I've had this problem for a long time and it goes off and on, I'll go to sleep at 5am or so and wake up about 2 hours later and feel completely fine and repeat, but one day I was at work and got very sleepy for the first time i assumed that i was just working to hard and so when I came home I whent to sleep right away I'd have to say 9 or 10pm and woke up at the same time I usually do but after that for about 2 or 3 weeks that cycle kept repeating but then I had to work later than usual and coming home around 2am I was not tired for some reason and then got extremely tired around 5am then and woke up about an hour later and I've been doing this every since, very weird :/
I was wondering if it affects circadian rhythm. I feel I don't even have a circadian rhythm anymore. Its like the trauma literally fried that part of the brain or something. I haven't fell asleep by myself without any medication in YEARS..lol
