This geometry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into circles. It explains how to calculate the area of a circle as well as the circumference of a circle. It also explains how to calculate the arc length of a sector as well as the area of a sector in a circle. it explains the difference between the radius, chord, and diameter of a circle. It mentions how to calculate the inscribed angle as well as the measure of the intercepted arc. It discusses how to calculate the area of the shaded region given a right triangle inscribed in a circle.

Hey guys, here's a cool study tip: watch these BEFORE the teacher's lesson. This is because, when you watch this before the lesson you get a nice idea of what's coming up and you will be less intimidated. You can also understand the teacher better since the teacher will probably be going at a faster pace whereas here, you can pause and process info. This is great for people who can't focus/understand stuff in class.

Heres another cool tip. To know if you are dealing with any special right triangle: Take the shortest leg (ex. =3) Then square it. And divide by 2. 3²=9 --> 9/2 =4.5 (add and subtract 0.5 aka +-) 4.5 + 0.5 = 5 , 4.5 -0.5 = 4 Now you know youre dealling with a 3 4 5 triangle Another example for sport. 7² = 49 --> 24.5 +- 0.5 --> 24 , 25 Triangle 7,24,25.

MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for another incredible video/lecture on Circles in Geometry and the Basic Introduction to Areas, Circumference, Arclength, Inscribed Angles and Chords. All these topics are illustrated by diagrams/shapes and old fashion Formulas. The Formulas can also be derived using basic and Advanced Mathematics.

Hello! It might not reach you due to the overwhelming comments you receive throughout all your lecture videos, but I wanted to take the time and thank you for providing so many educational videos, you have no idea how much this is helping me, it will even help me get through college. This is not much, I know, but remember that you have helped so many, and without you, many wouldn't be where they wanted to be (in terms of careers and education) Don't ever stop making more videos!

@jaydonkurian2593
@jaydonkurian2593 3 года назад
the "m" in mAC means measure of the arc AC. This m is often used when writing the "measure of" angles, arcs, etc. For example, mAB is read as the "measure of arc AB". Or if you were talking about the measure of an angle, you would see something like this: mABD, read as the "measure of angle ABD". Hope that helps :)
