I removed Cv Axle and saw that the Circlip on the CV Drive Shaft is kind of loose. You can rotate it easily inside of its grove easily. I plan to replace it. The original clip is made fm/white metal, looks like Stainless Steel. On Amazon I didn't see any Stainless Steel circlips and bought cirlips fm/Carbon Spring Steel. Is it better to put that Carbon Steel circlip instead of loose Stainless Steel one? How tight should be that ring in the grove? Thank you for the great film.
Its been 8 months since your post but generally I would recommend buying that part from the car dealer. That would be the safest option to get the part that will properly fit and is the right material. Sometimes you might encounter a lazy or careless parts guy at the dealer so if you can obtain the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) you can look up that part yourself and just ask for that part number.
@@SE45CX Thank you for the replay. I think it doesn't matter when you write since other people read. I always write regardless the post date, if can share some useful info. Especially here I didn't know about EPC, I'll try to do research where to find it. That CV Axle I installed w/same circlip, I think I saw some films when those circlips were moving in the same way like mine. Everything works fine. Thank you again.
