Both of you guys are helping out new technicians in the field troubleshooting the unit issue. I really appreciate your effort teaching us and sharing your skills and knowledge. Please keep such videos coming. Again thsnk you both best teachers!!
The ones I've seen they're always good and it's only the control module that goes bad. And from what I thought I saw from RU-vid it's almost always one component that fails. Then the manufacturer covered the board in epoxy so good luck working on it.
@@drwlpwasright5132but thats not the rite thing to do. You just lowered the efficiency of the system for the customer is all you did. Not to mention throwing off the next tech who works on it in the future because the wiring wont match the schematic. Bad move. Hack work
Just a few comments about superheat and subcooling. I understand this video is for techs, but a major issue is that there is a lack of understanding of the Carnot cycle in the industry and every single piece of equipment operates on these principles. I understand that these people aren't engineers, but it's hard to truly understand equipment if you don't know how and why it operates. Needs to be a lot more education in the basics.
I agree. I only like digital for nitrogen pressure checks. I can just glance at an analog gauge and know what is going on. Digital, I have to stop and think.
You gotta let them know when the Wi-Fi goes out the thermostat will not work. I know that because I used to install wireless thermostats for telecommunication company.
I've been stomp on a samsung ducted mini split how can I zone it. Do I have to get a samsung zone board or can I use a Honeywell zone board on a dry contact for it cuz of the 2 wires for communication
what would be the problem if you conected 120 volts from city line and 120 from the inverter at the same time and replaced the out door bored after and now it dont stay running on heat but works great on ac
Absolutely they can be converted. Evergreen makes one as does Mars. There are other brands too. I believe US Motors and/or Century does as well. I would say it would be worth it if you/the customer wanted continuous fan. Not only is it more efficient, but the 5-speed ECMs generally have a slower low speed than a PSC for quieter operation.
Well said, the four tools. "Use your good eye!" And to address the abusive work enviornment, listen to these men; shoulders back, chin up, and do NOT let that negativity in. Everybody is a teacher, either by showing you how to do something, or how not to do something. And usually what they're saying to you, is what they're saying to themselves. Do NOT make their pain your own. Misery wants company. Don't go to the bottle, go to the books. I know how it goes, and how effortless and effective buzzing it into the background is; it absolutely is not easy, creating the foundations of insanity. Hang in there brothers and sisters.
