There is nothing wrong with a circus as a concept in general, it's how they actually treat the animals that makes it okay or not. I hope these people had actual proof these lions were not being treated well before they went and took them from people. They could have been very loved.
There are several videos of them rescuing animals, mainly big cats. It appears they are a retired couple who use their considerable wealth (rescues of this scale eat money like you wouldn't believe) to rehome animals that should never be pets or "zoo attractions". They have special cages built, charter planes, et cetera, so they probably spend millions on their mission, so far.
@@Gaius__ one of the best ways to put your wealth to good use 💜 it's a shame that it costs so much though. And years? For permits and vaccinations, etc; makes me wonder if any died while waiting to go home. Years is crazy
@@aimeewaldron383 Yes, it is an excellent way to spend your money. You can't take it with you, right, and doing something really cool with it sure feels good ... especially considering how few of those magnificent creatures are left. We keep encroaching on their territory and their life, so every single one saved is precious, and valuable to the species.
I can barely stop crying watching this. The isn't enough gratitude to day to Tim and Jan for all of their hard work and dedication to rescue these majestic creatures from a horrible life of captivity. You two truly are Angels 🙏 😇
You two are true heroes!.. To have the determination to pursue this rescue against all odds and against ignorant people that would prefer to have them locked up to die, is admirable!.. Thank you for providing the resources and for being there until the day of their release. That's where they belong, free and at home!...
Yeah, it is the determination ... but also the resources. That couple must have spent millions on those rescues, what with all the specialised, custom-built equipment, airplane charters etc.
When I heard that all 30 of them were roaring at the same time on the airplane and again at sunrise and sunset, I was moved. Years ago, our family was treated to a behind the scenes tour of the San Diego Wildlife Preserve. We went into the holding cage where one male tiger was held for a week or so while another male tiger was out in the habitat. I had our one year old daughter on my hip, and when the tiger roared, I RAN from the room that held the cage, straight outside. It was that fight or flight instinct that I'd never felt before! Their roar is SO loud and rumbling that you have to admire it. I could imagine 30 of them at one time. Majestic! (And terrifying, if you're in the wrong place!)
As a Peruvian, to the team interviewed in this video, thank you for rescuing these animals so much. Quite a few people don't care much for animals here, and there's a culture aspect called "viveza" where people don't protest against injustice and even do it as long as it benefits them. Thank you for overcoming all the people who had those defects, and I hope you got help from the kindness some other Peruvians represent. As for the lions, as their names, Rey and Simba, suggest, they are kings and deserve basic respect at least. It makes me delighted they could taste freedom for the first time in their lives!
Thank you for explaining this. People raised to love and care for animals can sometimes have trouble understanding cultures where the attitude is very different, and presumably vice-versa.
@@a.w.thompson4001 Western societies aren't 'raised to love and care for animals'. They mass kill and breed vulnerable animals for meat, fur, eggs, dairy and perpetrate unimaginable horrors while pretending they specifically care for animals kept as pets. Your comment attempts to portray white people in the global north as the standard for empathy and compassion towards animals as a marker for 'civility' while othering 'cultures where the attitude is very different' as cruel and uncivilised. You 'thanking' a person from Peru for describing animal abuse taking place in their country is patronisingly pandering to white supremacy delusions, thinking themselves civil, kind, caring for those they consider inferior, like animals and people of colour.
I love those Lions. So happy for them! So sorry the past life they had to suffer through. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for rescuing them! Job well done!🥰❤️
Those people are not defects, rather it is a set of social defects. After 500 years of colonialism and neo-colonialism, where people are treated brutally, it's easy to become brutal as a reaction. Ayacucho massacre is an example of how brutal and corrupt the institutions built up over 500 years to crush the people and rob them have gotten. That this event was allowed to happen is an indication that the people are starting to gain some sovereignty and with it the dignity that is necessary to extend dignity to others.
Thank you for the insight and for being one of the kind-hearted in the world. It's always really upsetting how so many communities that struggle lack compassion for the creatures of the world. They see cruelty and abuse everyday and are immune to it.
To ALL the people involved in saving the circus animals; Thank You So Much!! It just means the world to me and my child self who was horrified the one time I went to the circus 🎪 thank you for going to the top of the world to big those angels home to SA❤
I would think better about some of the Billionaires if they would step forward using their money and influence to help the dwindling wildlife and captive creatures. Instead the pigs spend their money on billion dollar yachts and vulgar opulence. What a sick world. These people put it all on the line and are mountains compared to the cockroaches with the money.
Respect to these people for their tenacity, patience and execution that they got these lions to an incredible place. All the hoops they had to go through, the opposition, and then the patience...wow. Thank you!
They looked so happy in their new sanctuary holding their heads up to sniff the fresh African air. Even animals have guardian angels it seems, and they found that in you.❤😊
No words can ever express our love and gratitude for what you have done! My heart almost can't take it! Thank you soooo very much for the profound love you have for these magnificent animals!🙏🏻 🙏🏾 🙏🏿 🙏 🙏🏽
Happy felines. Oh my gosh this is like the movie “Born Free” for real. I’m crying I remember that as a child. That’s so beautiful I wish I could go there. My dad used to fly for TWA and I used to beg him for a trip to Africa for a safari.
Every save you do just is incredible! I was in a place where all the lions began to roar for a few minutes together and there was nothing like that cacophony!!
Thank you for this amazing, incredible video of seeing these majestic Lion's being taken back to Africa to the life they deserve. What an incredible journey. You are the best of Humanity. 😍💓🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁
❤❤ What great people! The lions are acting like they are kittens. This is where animals been long in the wild I am so grateful for people like this. 🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁
It takes an extraordinary soul to do this work and see the horror, cruelty they do on a regular basis and yet still be able to smile and glow. It would break me but they keep going. I don't have the proper words to express my admiration and my gratitude. Bless ADI!✨
I've always hated circuses, even without animals but even more so with them! Thank you so much to these two extraordinary people and all the people involved in the rescue to make the miracle happen. This world needs more people like you ❤
It warms my heart that these wonderful people dedicate their lives to rescuing these incredible creatures from miserable lives to retire back where they belong!
I’ve seen a lot of beautiful things in my life. But to me, nothing is more beautiful than abused, neglected or captive animals realize for the first time that they’re safe.. and they’re home 💞🐾
The JOY on their faces was so genuine, I BIG smiled and actually teared up!!! Very rarely am I moved to where I want to post an emotional reaction, but those two BEAUTIFUL souls done did it!!! I wish LONG LIFE AND UNENDING HAPPINESS to them AND their charges...❤❤❤ Just beautiful.😊😊
That is so awesome all the people there saving lions and taking them home. You are amazing Hero’s thank you for all your hard work for the Kings of the jungle
You're good people for doing this. Any wild animal like this. Lions, tigers, chimps, gorillas, orangutans, any of them. They shouldn't be kept in cages, or as pets, or in zoos. They deserve to be wild. They deserve to live their lives without people hurting them. They deserve to be what they are. Bless you guys.
There are no words - but to echo what you said you experienced them being free, roaring sunup/sunset etc. You spoke with so much joy and excitement. Medals to you for doing more than anyone would do in saving these majestic creatures and bringing them back to our beloved SA. Other circus animals like the poor elephants who are exploited and saddened should be removed too. Hope there are other rescuers doing that as well ❤❤ God's creatures --- born to be free
When i was about 2 or 3yo , according to my mother, i saw a tiger in a cage at a zoo. I never forgot the overwhelming depression i felt from this animal. Just watching lions on TV, they seem to be such incredibly emotional animals who form deep bonds for life.
THIS MAKESME CRY WITH JOY! I AM STILL CRYING! Somehow they have to make the red tape quicker- getting approval, the shots, everything faster so thse beautful animals can be in a safe wild sanctuary forever. I hope they have guards at this sanctuary and all of them to keep evil poachers AWAY!!! BLESS THESE ANIMALS AND ALL OF YOU WHO SAVE THEM!!! Kimberly
These two brothers honestly remind me of the song "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother"... "The road is long, with many a winding turn, That leads us to who knows where, who knows where, but I'm strong, Strong enough to carry him, he ain't heavy, he's my brother" Bless these two beautiful boys and I hope they have a long and happy life!
What a magnificent job you are doing rescuing these proud animals ❤️you are giving them the chance to live their final years in a country where they BELONG and you can see how happy and content they are ,i thank you personally for your help and compassion you have for these magnificent animals 👍👏
YOU ARE THEIR MIRACLE-ANGELS!!!! THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES OVER!!!! Their roars express their gratitude for this new life they so desperately needed!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
OK this almost made me cry 🥺 Tnx so much to this couple & team efforts 4 saving them! I dream of the day when animal circuses, sea worlds, 🐘 rides & other such 'entertainment' stops for good
THANK YOU for caring for these animals. Giving them a 2nd chance to live out their lives in a loving lion friendly environment where they WILL NEVER be abused again AMEN🙏GOD BLESS🙏
Ones upon a time we had lions in Europe...you could tell these two have had a hard life. So good they made it so they can get a nice retirement, they sure deserve it
This was one of the most satisfying videos Ive seen in a while. Im not a big fan of zoos or circuses when it comes to the animals. Seeing these lions set free in their native habitats was exhilarating!! Thank you ADI. Thank you so much!!
Circuses should be shut down. Nobody likes clowns and animal abuse isn’t funny either. Put and end to zoos and circuses. These beautiful creatures do not deserve to be imprisoned and tortured their whole lives. It is an abomination 😢
You are earth angels. Thank you from my heart to your beautiful hearts for saving these incredible, majestic beauties. It's such a precious story. 💖 💚🙏
What a lovely story. Thank you they are the most magnificent. Animals. Should never. Have been in cages THEVE been born to be free not locked. Up for peoples. Amusement.
