I would assume the reason for the high settings on the bottle is for when your flavor starts running out so you can get every last bit out of it.

I like this one much better too. It stays the same strength from first sip to last. You don't need to turn it up at the end, and a 9 would still be a 9 at the end. They last longer than you expect too so cost is actually low.

@@saintguardian3639 how long do sip containers last? Say, in full cirkul bottles as a measurement. I just got a bottle and a few sips to try but intend on refilling them myself due to having the skill/materials so price doesn't bother me. (I don't drink water so I'm trying to use this as a way to help get past my hate of plain water)

for the people saying you can only buy it online: i actually found my cirkul water bottle with 2 cartridges at walmart a few days ago for 20 bucks! they also sell extra cartridges for about $4 too! I only have been using it for a few days but I love it already, I use it on setting 2 and I get more than 6 servings. I am also one of those people that doesn’t like water so finding a product where I can up my water intake & it has a good flavor is a win in my book!

I saw it to cause my daughter got one and to me it’s a waist and not very environmentally friendly like coffee pods Plastics are not biodegradable but the other pacs are from aluminum foil packets etc . Plus way cheaper

I was one of the people they changed that cap for. It used to be pull out and you could do it with your teeth. It sucked my tongue into the cap and cut it pretty bad. I really respect the company because they changed the whole cap. Even if it isn't the flawless design. I love these.

Hey Steven! What would you recommend to make the cartridges last awhile? Coming from someone who likes the concentration of flavored water not strong but not weak either.

@@user-bn6gi7mi7z They're not designed to last too long because they make a majority of their money from the flavor pods. Even trying to keep it on 4 only gives around 50 or 60 ounces of satisfying flavor, for me. But the idea is exactly what I want, so I'm still trying to determine if it's worth the price. 10 flavors a week is like 35 bucks which is right on the cusp of sounding like too much, but maybe not if I stay away from soda, energy, and other sports drinks. And I like that there are a lot of different flavors to try.

As someone who participated in their kick starter YEARS ago, I'm glad they have improved their product. When they first came out they were TERRIBLE. Cartridges broke after a few uses if they even worked at all and the bottle leaked BADLY!

I can personally attest to their latest version as I just received it in the mail about a week ago (from the date of this comment). It's a pretty good product, looks like they put that kickstarter money to good use, I would definitely not call this a scam.

As someone whose used this for over a year now, some notes: 1. The cap does lock into place on the little notch/fin on the side. 2. You get 6 full bottles of usage out of it when it’s set to 5. So it’s great when you are a 2-3 setting person, as you’ll get closer to 12. 3. Their shipping is mega slow. But if you order your stuff before your renewal date, you get a $1 off.

I've heard about how slow and unpredictable their shipping is before. Is it really that bad? I travel a lot, so I like being able to mostly predict when stuff I order online will be arriving, especially something like this.

@@OkieOtaku I’ll just say that they added some stuff to my most recent order for free because I complained about how incredibly slow the shipping was. From ordering to receiving it took about a month. In fact, because it auto renews each month, my next order began processing before receiving mymy previous one

shipping if you're a buyer out of state will probably take more time, but I'm lucky because they're based in Tampa FL and I live in Plant city FL so when I order it usually takes two or three days for mine to get here.

The pods remind me of these straws my mom would buy me as a kid that made your plain milk flavored like chocolate or strawberry. Straw had like beans in it not a pod at all but kinda the same concept. Anyway just brought back a weird good memory. Thanks for the fun and informational video

We've been using Cirkul for a few years and have really enjoyed it. It does get us to drink a lot more water than we would which is great. Our favorite flavors are Fruit Punch and Watermelon.

I have been using these for approx two years. This has greatly assisted me in cutting out sodas. I have two bottles with a different color top - so I can have one caffeinated and one that is not (it made it easier than trying to remember to switch out the flavors and keep track. The two issues I have is that 1) there always is a sound when you drink out of it. I read "hacks" to get rid of that sound and it never has. 2) after a while there is dirt that seems to find its way in cracks at the underside of the tops. In some spots I am finding it hard to clean.

Partially recyclable, but you have to disassemble them and remove the foil pouch, which isn't recyclable. I'm not sure most consumers will want to do that.

My guess is that you're supposed to increase the intensity up as you drink the pods. It would stand to reason that the more you use it, the less flavor there would be. So a full pod set to 3 would be the same concentration as a half empty pod set on 6 and an almost empty pod on setting 9.

Idk if they did 2 years ago but they’re designed now so the flip cap catches under the handle and holds it back. Brilliant. Also they’ve labeled them now!

Yes, I just bought one yesterday and I realized I could tuck the tip of the cap under the handle. Now no issues. I am glad I was smart enough to figure that out before I cut the cap off and freely used it, I guess some can cut the cap and attach it by a string to the handle. 🤷‍♀️

I have two Cirkul bottles. I bought the stainless steel one and use it at work. My regular plastic one stays at home. I absolutely love my Cirkul bottles. I order strictly from the PureSip line, as I don't really like sweetened water; flavored, yes. I usually start out a new Sip on about 2, and as the flavor starts to fade, I dial it up. I usually get around 8 refills on my 22oz bottle from one sip, since sometime, I just want plain water. I'm on the 4 sip monthly refill plan, and I go through about one sip a week at work. If you order it using a code you can get from someone that already has a Cirkul, you can actually get a pretty good discount. I think I paid about $50 for the original plastic bottle with two free Sips, the stainless steel bottle, and 4 extra sips.

Thanks for your great review! I just ordered my bottle and flavor cartridges and I can’t wait to get them! I’m really excited about the PureSip flavors. I use liquid Stevia and I can always just add a couple of drops to my water if I want to sweeten it up a bit.

The little fin at the back of the flavor cartridge is for you to tuck the cap behind it so it stays out of the way. That's why the cap has 2 ends and is hollow in the middle. So you tuck the cap behind the fin and it keeps it out of the way.

I've been using mine for a few years now. I need to drink some flavors on a higher number than others to get the same intensity. But I usually drink at a 4 or 5 and they will last about 3 or 4 days. Thanks for the links to the hacks, I didn't know you could do that.

$3.75 per cartridge comes to $0.63 per bottle, if used on the 22 oz bottle. That’s typically at a 4 or 5 setting. So let’s say for some reason you only get 4 bottles out of one cartridge. It’s still less than $1 per bottle. For people who buy flavored waters, sodas, teas, etc., they’re paying significantly more per 20 oz bottle. So the benefits for those people are 1. It costs less than drinking those other things and 2. Getting more water into their bodies. So, yeah, it’s a reoccurring cost, but so is purchasing other drinks all the time. And this is healthier.

I use Mio now instead of Cirkul. I get way more drinks from thst I feel. A Cirkul cartridge could last me anywhere from a day to three days. Just wasn't worth it. They all tasted wonderful though and the bottle was cool. Just not priced right for me although with their subscription, prices do go down.

Even With the fact that you can partially break them down to recycle I think they could come up with a better way than the cartridge. I think making the cartridge assembly permanent or totally recyclable and just selling the flavors would shift me back to using this product. A good product though other than that.

Was thinking the same... Just like loose tea, you could buy bigger bags(and then you can tell the flavours apart instead of these white unlabeled cartridges), and just have a cartridge that you can rinse out and change flavours.

Thank you for this video. Very helpful. I had purchased recently once I saw you could add ice to it. I prefer more ice to my water. My only down fall is I love my hydro with the straw. This can get really heavy lifting it up to drink that way. Wish it came with a straw, but I do like it. I can't wait to try the iced coffee!!

The coffee is the worst one for me. I have had mine for several months now and I am still working through the flavors. The fin on the back of the sip is for the lid.

@@c-valueenigma4977 Yes, the lid is the only part you keep throughout different sips unless you're also using a filter such as I am, which attaches below the lid, and I keep that on there for like 30 sips.

I found them when they were still on kickstarter or whatever site they were on. I was really excited to see that they had an electrolyte based cartage since I'm someone who deals w/chronic dehydration. Unfortunately, after a while my migraines had gotten worse (I'm a chronic migraine sufferer and they are triggered by weather and artificial sweeteners). I guess not only do artificial sweeteners cause migraines, but so does stevia and sucralose. I was really upset that I couldn't use them any longer because I really liked them, well the ones they had at the time. :) Anyway, I hope others are finding them beneficial!

I never knew stevia causes migraines, I am a chronic migraine sufferer myself, and nothing I do helps,; sadly I drink lots of regular soda and Kool-Aid mixed with stevia, I am very allergic to Aspartame, was so bad I was bedridden, was told by poison control I was Aspartame poisoned

Yea, a lot of companies use stevia & sucralose since they aren't artificial, but I did find recently something called Water Magic when we were at Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati a month or so ago & I ordered more from Water Magic's site. They are in straws & you're supposed to drink the water through the straw, but I cut the straw open & dump it in my water & wait for the little beads to dissolve. Right now, those are what I've found that work for me.

I tend to agree with your review- overall, pretty good! Cons: The cartridges are not labeled, so I have to use a Sharpie or such to keep track of the flavors and they leak when you take them out, so it takes some adjustment to not have water all over when refilling the bottle. Buying the flavors can be pricey gamble... you're out nearly $4 if you don't like the flavor... I wish they had some way to sample them first. I've thrown a bunch away that I don't like, wasted money... The suction required to pull the water through can be a little tough for some of my family members to use often. Pros: flavors are mostly very good! A handy way to enjoy some flavored water.

I've been using it on and off (more on than off) for over a year and I absolutely love them. I will say I've noticed the cartridges you buy online are way better quality than the ones they sell through Walmart though.

The waste and the long term cost is what got me. I didn't like the cost but the product itself is good. I did try the various ways to make them go longer but those systems would only last about 4-5 more times of refill. I broke down and got myself Infuze to find they are a lot stronger in flavor. If you get their or any drink infusers, fill half of the reservoir with water and the other half with the infuser. One small bottle of the drink infuser lasts me about 3-4 of the reservoir refills.

I love this water bottle, we caught them on sale at Kroger for $7.50 which came with the 20 oz bottle and 3 pure sip inserts. They also had other inserts on sale individually for $1.48 a great steal!! And there is a clip part on the top of the bottle now to secure the cap while you’re drinking. Your review may have helped them change the design☺️ can’t wait to try the other inserts, I didn’t know they had that many to choose from. Great review!!

i love my Cirkul bottle. I use mine all the time when I'm at work. I use the on like the wild berry during the summer because of working in a kitchen and getting so hot. I only like collected ones from them. I get the refills once a month. I have been using mine for over a year. The only reason why I wanted one is to get me to drink more water. To hold the cap back on the sip clip it over the little thing where you turn to get more flavor.

I have been using Cirkul for about six months. I like the flavors but most of the fruit flavors taste kind of the same to me but that could be the aftereffects of Covid. For some reason, some flavors seem to last longer than others. I really like the Lemonades. The retail refills that they sell in Walmart that come in boxes are actually marked unlike the ones that come directly from Cirkul. It's obviously easier to keep track of the flavors from the retail version of the refills. I tried the subscribe option, it's good but my frequency of using the bottles has changed and that kind of messed me up for a while and I have now suspended my subscription options. You're absolutely right about the lid getting in the way. Also, it's initially too tight to open. A couple of them I had to pry open. Cirkul can learn something from French's mustard plastic dispensers. They have the perfect lids that lock in place when you open them. They should pay a royalty to French's and do the same thing. It would be nice if it locked in the open position and kept out of the way.

I have one of these bottles, if you want to you can fold the little cap back, and it will stay on the fin on the part that rotates for the flavor. also, depending on the flavor I generally use lvl 3 or 4. and I get about 5 bottles of water per insert. also, I do like the tea flavors, and the berry, but my two favorites so far are strawberry watermelon, and the raspberry lemonade.

@@Postyyyy On most of the flavors I use 4 which lasts for about 6-7 bottles. The recommended is level 5 but since the flavor is concentrated some of them can be pretty strong for my liking on level 5.

I just got one and I love it. The complaint you had about the lid I thought the same thing at first but the little thing on the side the lid hooks onto it. I didnt really like the tea one but I am particular about tea. I really like the white cherry one. It tastes like the gatorade one. I use my lid on my hydroflask and bought one for my daughter for school.

I have this. It's pretty good. I like the grape flavor the most currently. They last me about 6+ refills. It also depends. I've noticed that the cartridges will either last the right amount or not as long. I always put mine between 2 and 3. I know when the flavor starts getting less when I have to move the dial slowly towards 10 to keep getting flavor. I used to like fruit punch but I think they changed the recipe or something. I just don't like it as much anymore.

I have had my Cirkul since August, I it purchased at Walmart in PA when on vacation for $10 with 2 cartridges. GREAT assortment of flavors online more limited at retail locations. A GREAT alternative to just water or coffee and tea.

Around the time Cirkul just came out they had (and may still have) an introductory package and it was cheap. Came with a normal bottle and 1 flavor for like $5. I took the blueberry flavor and honestly I really liked it, but couldn't afford the upkeep (IRL problems on my end), but I do think it is a great value. I think I kept it at 4 or 5. I wish I still had the bottle, but it's gone, I think I gave it away. I enjoy Cirkul bottles and would love to get it again.

You can buy just the top and cartages and take it with you to the store and buy the reusable bottle the top fits on. The sips are pretty cheap. Circul probably still has your info in their system lol don't ask me how I know.

I’ve had it about two weeks. I kind of hate having to suck on the bottle to get the flavor. I love the taste, I usually hate artificial sweeteners so I never was into mio or other water sweeteners in the past. I’d prefer if they had like a Brittany filter you could pour in a regular glass. I feel like I’ll get bucked teeth 🦷 from this bottle

I concur. I'd totally invest in a brand that creates different flavors but I hate the individual cartridge issue. Just give me one and I can add the powder packet myself. Use paper or cardboard to ship the powder.

Interesting... I have an Infuze water bottle well cap that I use with my 64oz Hydro Flask. What's easy is I don't have to buy their flavor enhancer I just buy MiO or any water flavors enhancer.... Had it for 2 years and still going strong. Cirkul looks interesting but my Infuze and being able to buy my own flavor enhancers from any Grocery Store is hard to beat IMO. Still such an awesome review I'm interested in trying lol

@@xxgn I bought an Infuze because it definitely seems like the better product, but it needs fixes. My first lid is inconsistent with flavor, the second lid (support sent to replace the first one) has perfect flavor but leaks. The idea is GREAT, the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

There's a guy on YT, goes by JustAskCarlos, who has done a lot of videos on Cirkul and some videos on Infuse. He I think still uses both products, though seems to prefer Cirkul. He has a couple great videos comparing Cirkul to Infuze, and really it comes down to preference between the two. When I had neither, I watched his videos, and various factors made me choose Cirkul over Infuze, but he made a strong argument for Infuze. For me, it seemed to me as if buying sips would be more convenient than buying flavor enhancers at the store, and so I went for Cirkul. I still believe that's accurate for me, but Infuze absolutely seems to be a quality product, especially newer versions of the Infuze system seem to be better quality than they used to be, as Carlos broke down old vs new Infuze, so it's all down to your own preference.

I can’t have Stevia or artificial sweeteners including the other one you mentioned that I can’t spell. I have fibromyalgia and those sweeteners send me into fibromyalgia flares for days. I think I’m safer sticking to just water. We use the Zero Water system to filter our water.

It depends on the setting. I use setting 2 or 3 and I get about 10 bottles per sip. Husband sets his on 5 to 6 and gets between 4 and 6 bottles. It will all be based on how strong you like it.

As others have said in the thread here, he will very likely do a 1-year-later update on this, especially considering how much he seemed to like it. Assuming the company stays in business, he seems like he is going to continue using it regardless of RU-vid just because he liked the product, a similar throwback to the other smart bottle he reviewed a couple of years ago. I will definitely be curious what he thinks of the product.
