In this Video we will configure a router for CUBE functionality and create dial-peers to test inbound/outbound calls. We will also be creating trunk on the call manager to facilitate inbound/outbound calling
Excellent demo. I really like the way you broke things down into the basic steps and stages with troubleshooting tips throughout. I now know the basics of SIP trunking from CUM and to the PSTN. Well done and many thanks.
Great video but one very "VERY" crucial piece is missing; you didn't share how the dial peers were configured on the PSTN to reach the CUBE. Can you please provide that information? I'm positive I'm not the only one who noticed this critical piece of the puzzle not being there. :-)
Hi..I thought CUBE is used to communicate between the CUCM and any remote site using CME or (CUCM1--->CUCM2--->CME). If calls are to be made to PSTN can't we just use the MGCP gateway?
I really wish the average CUBE config with a service provider was this straight forward....almost every config I've ever done with various providers is anything but straight forward. Half the time they don't tell you all you need to know up front.
Thank you so much for the comments and suggestions. I am glad you guys liked this video, I posted a few more videos so do check my other Videos as well. I will try my best to get back to some more CUBE and CUCM videos soon. I am planing on doing some UCS/Vmware videos and then I will do a few more call routing videos, so stay tuned. :)
