I have PTSD, i am sensitive to fireworks. Don't worry about people with PTSD/pets. We are responsible for managing our triggers. You cannot "Nerf" the entire world. I use a fan to block the noise, and worry about myself. Ignore people complaining, have fun.

Why not use this in conjunction with fireworks rather than as a lame replacement? Imagine: a dragon made of drones appears in the sky. Its mouth opens and coordinated fireworks (a safe distance behind the drones, of course) burst in sequence. Their explosions are the dragon's roar and their light is its fire.

Coordinated drone shows would be a really cool extra thing to have if we didn't use them to replace other things. I don't want fireworks or anything else replaced by drone shows.

As someone who sets up firework shows every 4th of July, I've been hearing about these "drone shows" the last few years, and every single one that I have seen on youtube, Facebook, or Instagram is NOTHING compared fireworks. These drone shows are boring, id rather go to an ACDC concert, and those are boring too. And for those rats saying "ohhh but they're safer than firewoks." You can say that all day n night for the next half existence, they'll never be as cool as fireworks.

It never made sense for me to sit in traffic for an hour (at least) to see a fireworks show - it's basically the same thing every year. I stopped 20 years ago. Might go once to a drone show just to see one.

Replacing a well-known and widely loved tradition with some stupid taxpayer-funded drones just shows how far people will promote their beliefs. I get how some people dont like the sound of fireworks and stuff but just put on noise canceling headphones or something. Really no point in ruining everyones day just for a few select individuals who in the end dont really bother with fireworks. Absolute bullshit.

A legitimate reason for this would be the rest of the state has wild fires everywhere. Maybe they don't want to burn the rest of the state down by accident. One fool with a small rocket for a gender reveal party literally set a whole forest on fire. I live in the Midwest and we have had to cancel show due to dry weather a few years ago. They just rescheduled the show for a later date in the year. It wasn't a big deal. Idk why everyone is acting like its the end of the world to not have them. I would rather have my house still there in the morning than see some light show that can potentially burn down everything if its too dry. No burn orders are there for a reason. For a state that has wild fires every year this makes perfect sense. Just more culture war bs that news starions are trying to sell everyone. Futher dividing us.
