When you stated that citizen is just as good an same quality as the omega, im glad to hear im not the only one that realizes an knows that. I had high end orient watches that were built with the same quality an just as nice as high end swiss watches. But people want to be in denial that the japanese cannot make a watch as good as the swiss. Which is totally incorrect. An people do hack an destroy the watches. Thats why i cannot buy used. I tried it once, never again.
I thought I might like the white one, but the black dial has won me over. What is the lug width on this?? Looks like a 18 or 20mm. I have not seen very many Citizen Autos...mostly all Eco Drive, which there is nothing wrong with..just not my cup of tea really.
The Speedy lug width is 18MM. I'm with ya on the black dial. That is my favorite too. I get at least 4 emails a month with guys looking for white dials. White dials are so hard to find in nice shape. I feel the same about Eco Drives. No soul.....and ya gotta wonder if there will be service parts for them in 40 years....on top of a qualified watchmaker that can repair electronics. So to me..they will be just $300 dollar paper weights in the future... while the mechanical Speedy will still be going.
@@watchesandwheels2093 I have only had one or two citizen watches that were eco drives. They are not bad watches. However they are not something you pass down as heirlooms either. Something I have taken a great interest in as of late is not a Citizen, but a Tissot. It's an automatic movement world timer built upon the aerial route of the Orient Express from Paris to Instanbul, by way of Bucharest (Romania). It runs about 1650.
