I bought for myself for my 60th birthday late last year a fairly higher end Citizen dive watch, I believe its nickname is Kraken. I have a rand seiko, Cartier and many other brands and love them all but I have to say since November I have done something I have never done before and that is wear one watch since then and have never felt the need or desire to wear anything else and that is my Citizen. It is made in Japan, has the same movement as this one, all super titanium and a beautiful dial. It is a beast in size but really does not feel big or heavy once on the wrist. I love the easy adjust clasp. It just reeks of quiet quality and every time I look at that Citizen logo on the dial I feel like I have stumbled into some discreet club of quiet class. Truly, I really don´t know when I will wear my other watches, this one has really stopped the urge to even look at watches other than Citizen now. Oh and the accuracy is excellent, to the point wear I never look at it. I think in part it has to do with it being worn everyday
It’s always interesting what watches become favorites. When I got my Oris Aquis I really liked it but it quickly became my favorite over my sub or any other watch. It’s great to read your experience with Citizen’s higher end watches are worth the premium.
Definitely not like a Snowflake or any of GS dress watches. They are far too artisanal, but their sport models and divers I think the Citizen Series 8 stacks up against them.
I mean they're going for different things but it's literally the best watch under $1000 in terms of quality and you're not getting this design for under 10k so
