What should I think of those who pretend to know that an undetectable supernatural realm exists that is inhabited by undetectable, all-powerful, privileged beings? 2. What should I think of those who pretend to know that undetectable supernatural beings are continuously monitoring and passing judgment upon every human thought and deed? 3. What should I think of those who pretend to have an intimate personal relationship with an undetectable supernatural being? 4. What should I think of those who pretend to know that they are privileged to be in constant communication with an undetectable supernatural being that tells them what it thinks and wants? 5. What should I think of those who pretend to have the authority and duty to advise me on behalf of an undetectable supernatural being? 6. What should I think of those who pretend to know that undetectable supernatural beings are responsible for every blessing, solving their problems, curing their ills, and preserving their life? 7. Hi James, I would start with reading Proverbs chapter 2 and then,if your serious, bow your knees before God, in sincerity, and ask him to open up the eyes of your understanding. If you are sincere, He will show you in some way. Approach Him in complete faith and humility. I have prayed for you that God will send his ministering angels and His Holy Spirit to open your eyes and show how real he is and how much he loves you and that he desires for you to spend eternity with Him if you willingly choose to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Savior. “The LORD bless you, and keep you: The LORD make his face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you: The LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 KJV My name is Rick. Especially after going through the laborious task of asking myself these questions and many more like them, pondering at length the real-world implications and consequences inherent in them. I suspect you have never asked yourself any of them. Perhaps, you should. I appreciate your suggestion that I too can dedicate myself to a life of pretending to know the unknowable by simply consulting and trusting religious scripture and/or those who pretend to know that undetectable good supernatural beings have ordained them with the pre-eminent ethical moral authority, knowledge, and duty to advise me as to the truth of all unknowable knowledge that good supernatural beings want me to possess. You are right. I could do that. But I could only do that if possessing the best answers to life's mysteries was not important to me. Perhaps I am being unreasonable, but I have found that the best answers to life's mysteries are not obtained by relying upon someone else to do for me the hard work of distinguishing reality from magical thinking. I would advise you to reconsider the wisdom of pretending that you can know, and do know, truths that are unknowable. You can start the process of objective critical thinking by pondering a single question. I don't see, me preferring the company of those born again in Christ through the Spirit, how there is any hate uttered by this godly man who has been born again into the Holy Kingdom of God. I, being a sinner, yet also having at least some degree of discernment, do not see the Spirit of God in you. Please, brother: accept the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, and repent of your sins, that through Him you may be saved, confessing that He is Lord and believing He is risen. Praise God, that you may be baptized with fire and the Holy Ghost, and enter someday into God's Kingdom, of which I would much rather be a citizen than one of this world. May you see the peace, love, mercy, grace, and blood of Jesus Christ. I pray through the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, to the Father, that your unclean spirits leave your body and end the torment of your soul, in Jesus Name, that you may believe in Him and worship Him and Him alone, that you may enter into the kingdom of God.
