Over 8000 people are still stuck in IDP camps in Tana River County following severe flooding that hit the county at the end of the first quarter of this year. The flood waters have dried up in most parts, and some people have started trooping back to their villages. But with their farms stretching along the river banks, they appear not so keen to move farther since that is their source of livelihood. This is despite the county government setting aside land for those in flood prone areas to relocate. Mashirima Kapombe was in Tana River and now reports on citizen planet.
