In this episode, we examine Kennedy’s singular devotion to the First Amendment and look at how it may have influenced his decision in the case.

Man this issue is complicated, but hated by a large majority. 13 years later, hated by a Larger Majority. Both Parties can reverse this, and they dont.

I listened to a presentation given by Thom Hatman on this very issue sometime in the early 2000's. He went deeper into the issue and gave more content. When I appreciate your efforts in giving your presentation I'm of the view that a person listening to this presentation would have a different opinion on this issue than a person listening to Hatman's presentation. Hatman gave information explaining that big business had been banned from using money to influence elections in the pass. They made many attempts to get the supreme court's to reverse that decision and failed. He went on to explain that when the courts finally allowed them to do so, the courts used information from notes of previous court hearings that did not exist or wasn't accurate. He explained cooperation used political influence to get the right judges on the bench to get what they wanted. I would like someday to be able to do my own research so I can know for myself all the facts on this issue. For now I can only have an opinion based on my memory and understanding of commentary given by presentation like this and others I've listened to over the years.

31:08 That is not quite true. Kennedy dissented in the case Austin v Michigan Chamber of commerce so anyone should guess how Kennedy would vote in Citizen United

Tell the protesters if they want to interrupt the Court, do it with argument, not slogans.
