I've just restored a C15 Romahome campervan, it was destine for the scrapyard so I bought it cheap. The Camshaft had snapped because the previous owner never bothered servicing it and the belt snapped, I rebuilt the engine then repaired all the rust, finished off with a full respray.
Im gonna buy one as my first car at 19! Looks like a good vehicle to daily, and learn to wrench on. Very simple construction, and indestructible almost.
Nice C15 with the unbreakable 1.9 PSA diesel engine. I remember in Holland there were several Peugeots and Citroën with those engines having reached almost 1.000.000 km's without major problems. I didn't know that in France the C15 could still be bought new in 2005. In Holland the C15 at that time had disappeared from the market. We had the Berlingo as a replacement which also could be equipped with this 1.9 diesel engine. Way more better than the later introduced 1.6 hdi which had many problems. My father did 675000 km in 14 years. Unbreakable. I was too young to drive then, would do anything to drive that car or at least other C15. BEST CAR EVER. I told my dad that we should have gave it back to Citroën and said MERCI 😃😃
According to "The Wayback Machine" in 2005 you were still able to buy the C15 in Spain (with the starting price of €11,480). I've checked the other websites and even going as far as the year 2000 the C15 was not being a part of their model range anymore.
I remember back in 2000s my father used to drive one of these but in longer version, 7 year old me absolutely loved the car dont even know why lol. God knows where the car ended..
I had a C15 with the 1.8 engine and it did 495.000 kms without serious breakdowns. Fucking hard as a rock. And even at the end of its days reaches 140 km/h without any problem....good video!!!!

It's simple, easy to fix, tough and reliable on top of having S tier fuel eco and being actually good on trails. Oh and not costing very much by the end of the production run. Major downside is that it rusts very badly. If you go to France's deep country side they'll be everywhere.
The Citroen C15 is based on the Citroen Visa which was a small hatchback. The C15 lived longer than the Visa and the last year you could buy them was 2005
So weird to see a C15 van with power windows... They were such basic cars... My dad had one of these back in 1995 brand new, with the 1.4i engine from the 205. Got rid of it in 1997, cursing it with every swear word he knew lol... I remember him saying that the only two things which were good about it were the engine and the rear bumper bar... He hated that car with passion and still does until today... Mostly for its electrical gremlins...
Yep, they made the C15 from 1984 to 2006. With this engine, the 1.9D, it's a very reliable van. Very slow but very reliable. Their biggest issue is rust.
