This 2010 C3 1.6HDI came to me with an intermittent problem, where the car would cut out/shut down while driving...
A quick scan revealed P0087 and P0093...
Fuel pressure related trouble codes... but being intermittent, it was not straight forward...
That said, found the problem, and I can definitely confirm that the fix on this video indeed fixed it!

Good diagnosis I think it was eBay special sensor and as we all know they have to be OEM but price and other factors come into it plus others trying to fix it can throw you off the scent all in all very good video,I always think of columbo the detective when I see you working stuff out😂

Another tricky issue solved. You were actually quite early into a probable electronic/wiring problem and I believe you were right in a way but this time it was encapsulated within the regulator.. right? I have the same engine in my -05 C4 and this video could become useful! 👍

suskovic1 has reported a problem with microcracks in the fuel regulator o-ring. But if the o-ring is the real problem , this means it's a hard fault , and problem can be tested by turning off the engine and watching the rail pressure pid constantly dropping. As for this here problem with the little Citroen C3 1.6hdi - i would test the current with the amp clamp and the deep-memory oscilloscope. I would compare the currents two times - 1st. : test the currents when the car was left for a while and it's cold(a coupe of hours) 2nd : test the currents again when the car at operating temp and the fuel is warm, engine is warm and coil could become shorted and current would go up.

Good morning Luis if i am not mistaken No 1 injector cylinder on those engines is next to gearbox flywheel not timing belt end most psa engines all ass about face ps when your good you make your own LUCK

Mine citroen C4 take the same valve but its was not the real problem and a few days after take the presur sensor and it os good finaly.

I had same problem luis would go into limp mode when i put my foot down well tracking down the fault cost me a fortune and a lot of time

Change the rail with the sensor always fixes it common fault on these older hdi

I don't know why but most of the people don't change the fuel filter and you can have the same symptoms 🤷

Just replace O ring on pessure regulator, and thats it!

No, because if the o ring was bad a big fuel leak will be show under the car.

@@Poulpy68 I had the same situation, on a 2.0 HDI, the O ring had micro cracks, and enough to drop the pressure!

@@suskovic1 Perhaps the pump will pump air if the o ring is bad. Else with the pressure you will have a big leak.

@Poulpy68 The air theory it is difficult to understand... as it starts right away and runs fine... Air would give symptoms... I would guess.. 👍
