2003 Xsara Picasso 2.0 Hdi (90 HP) with intermittent starting problem.
Suspected ECU / BSI problem.
The key fob has been replaced and that seemed to solve the problem for a long time. When the starting problem reemerged the transponder antennae was checked and swopped out with another, which makes no difference, issue persists.
There is a faint click under the dashboard when the key is turned, when this is audible, the engine starts, if not, the engine wont start as in the first part of the clip.
Other previous work include:
- diesel pump removal, recalibration (ran like a dream after that).
- pressure regulator replaced.
- glow plugs checked & replaced.
- fuel tank pump checked = O.K.
