It’s been two decades since Zimbabwe’s land reform policies began to fulfill the promise of putting previously colonized farmland back in the hands of indigenous residents. But twenty years on, the output of some key agricultural commodities still faces steep challenges. CGTN’s Daniel Plafker traveled to Zimbabwe’s citrus orchards to learn how the sector is faring. #FocusOnZimbabwe

The guy's request for those with experience to 'come and work for the country' is either naive or idiotic. People don't just work for countries but for themselves and their families first.

3500 hectars is nothing - why did the war veteran not plant his own, so zim had 3501 hectars of citrus plantations

Giving the land back to the indigenous people is 100% the right ways to go. The can organize their agriculture sectors and re-build the orchards industry

its been 20 years since the lands were given to them so what's the excuse
@mrnewbery1339
@mrnewbery1339 Год назад
One of the problems is they are locked in the past. Correct 20 years later they are still blaming white people even if they are long time generation citizens. It’s a great pity that they cannot admit their mistakes and all work together.

The reason why Zimbabwe fought for freedom was because of land. Mugabe policies are finally winning.

Stop black on black violence world-wide and stop all corruption in Africa! Also stop perpetrating reverse racism by saying things like "black for black"..two wrongs don't make a right! I'm sick of hearing/observing an ignorant minority of Africans rejoicing and yet the majority of your brothers and sisters are down in the dumps!

Was that guy 12 when he fought? Doesn't have the skills because he stole the farm from someone who did ,someone who planted the trees built the dam, developed the industry.

Can we agree that colonization is wrong but Mugabe Regime is worst because he doesn't even care about his own People, I never understand why the British went to Simbabwe they hade Settler Colonys in Australia/New Zealand/Canada 1 of the largest Country's in the World.
@dalejenkins1558
@dalejenkins1558 2 года назад
@@ambessaseway5594 you will be surprised... Out of all the countries you just mentioned, Zimbabwe was one of, if not the best asset to Britain! When it was called Rhodesia, the country was incredible and although like every country it had its flaws but it made up for them in many other positive ways!

Its very funny...ddnt the white settlers steal it from the original land owners back in that time. Who dsnt know that black pple were chased away to tje unproductive lands. 100years ago it wasn't a crime but jus 10years ago justice prevail but its now a crime. If only you were black u would understand. Racial discrimination and colonial ideology is the only thing in your minds.
@dalejenkins1558
@dalejenkins1558 2 года назад
@@ralphmarime2549 what's so funny? With every great good comes a great evil my friend! Put race aside and you will soon realise that there is good and bad on both sides! Ok so if black people were displaced to unproductive lands then why isit now after land reform in Zimbabwe, they still cannot farm the good land they took back from whites...not very productive isit?? Racial discrimination and colonial ideologies as you say were no doubt prevalent amongst alot of Europeans in that part of the world & believe it or not, blacks too!... however by and large most white settlers dedicated their lives to making African people's lives better! Did Africans across the continent make the most of it? I think you will find NOT! Look at India and China for example? They knew that had been dealt a raw deal with colonialism but still they persevered and went on to become some of the greatest nations in the world, so why couldn't Africans do the same? So I'm sorry I cannot go along with your ideology that one needs to be black to understand! God will judge us all and bad people in general will have to answer for their sins, it's got absolutely nothing to do with colour or race!

@@dalejenkins1558 It is still one of the best asset for Britain. Over 70% of investments belong to them. Don't be fooled by sanctions and all that rhetoric against the leaders it's all an act. Infact the ruling party is under British control even Mugabe since Zimbabwe independence were always British stooges. They just use sanctions to fool people and also to avoid having competition for their interests in Zimbabwe. Its total economic slavery.
