A special solo set by City and Colour (Dallas Green) for Canada's 150th birthday in Niagara-On-The-Lake at the Jackson-Triggs Amphitheatre on July 1, 2017! This video is of Dallas performing 'Friends.'
Steelrain I've tried, to serve as memory for me and share with those who couldn't make it. However, it's getting to the point now where I have seen them so many times, there isn't anything new to record. I'll listen for different songs that I haven't seen, but it doesn't make sense to keep recording what I already have - even though when theyre in town I will never miss a show. This solo one, I wanted to record as much as I could because I haven't seen him solo since 2008, but as little because it's a lot nicer not having to worry about the shot haha. I still will from time to time, but I just saw the full band again tonight and I didn't record anything. Thank you, though.
I've seen him so many times now as well that I decided not to go to the show last night, I did make it for the solo tho :). Too bad those Alexis shows were post poned :(
Steelrain I got tickets for the Sunday show and I went to rockfest. I wanted the first and last stop of the tour.. guess that didn't quite happen lol cool to actually see them still though and I guess we will see how it goes if/when they reschedule
I think I figured it out... Capo 2 (obviously), A string dropped to G, low E dropped to C. I refer to it as drop sus2, but whatever. The chords are pretty simple, maybe I'll do an instructional vid or cover it
It bugs me that the microphone is so high up!! Like it bring it down so you don’t have to sit up for every lyric! Haha but nonetheless a great performance as usual!!!
As a solo performer myself I set the microphone up high. Keeping your posture straight and your chin up helps belting and falsetting those high notes greatly
