Hello everybody and welcome back to City Bus Manager!
We're back today with another exciting instalment of City Bus Manager, where we're going to be expanding our collection of double decker buses, as well as performing some much needed maintenance on our current fleet.
We've already got quite the collection of double deckers which we use exclusively on our 503 route. I'm hoping in the future we'll be able to expand to some more double decker routes, particularly with the new buses we now have available!

Hi Joe, if you customise the reg plates to be something uniform for example the deckers to be YX72 AAA-D they’ll be grouped together in shift schedule so you don’t have to hunt for them

You know I stumbled across this but instead of using Regs, I use a fleet number in place of a registration number 👍🏻

The shift schedule is in alphabetical order based on the licence plate, so you can group your busses together

A few people mentioned it, but the best way to use the shift schedule, is to change the plates into 'Batches' so you can find types easier. It shows alphabetically. It just means doing things like a double-decker 503 route is easier. Plus, you can better manage when shifts end and a new one can be put on. It's honestly so good. Also, remember you can copy whole days and paste them, meaning you can have a set weekday layout for it (as no shifts really change unless you do extended Friday services)

What I do in my run through is have the license plate be a London-style fleet number, that way all my Citos are next to each other as they all start CTO, all my Citaros start MEC, etc

Joe, the LFS Bus you realized you unlocked is a North American Bus. It's manufacturer NovaBus kept the model going since 1995, with 4 different generations. It's currently on its 4th Generation of the LFS series. The 4th Generation model has a couple different variants. Diesel, Hybrid Electric, CNG and Battery Electric.

If I remember rightly. Isn’t Novabuses competitor over there owned by the same parent group who owns Alexander Dennis? I’m sure it’s like NFL or something 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

@@KyleHulton NovaBus is owned subsidiary by Volvo since 2004. New Flyer Industries is re-branded name of the defunct Western Flyer/Flyer Industries since 1989. Alexander Dennis is also a re-branded manufacturer since 2004 from being TransBus in 2001-2004 to what it is today.

I’ve noticed for some reason, quite a lot of the second hand MANs accept bottom offers 😂 I had an A28 and a 12c and all they needed was wipers and a wash!

Something I found out while playing the game that might help you. If you pause the game & select a bus you can select more than one request eg. Fuel, wash & clean. You could even select maintenance as well. So you do not have to keep on clicking after every task. once unpause it will automatically fulfil all your requests one after the other. Be mindful, this can however delay the bus if it has been scheduled for a certain time.

Use the reg plate as a stock number, then you can group by bus type and age. For example your DL's could be DL101 to DL103.....

Hi Joe in the City Bus Manager discord there is a thread called "UK Bus Repaint" or something along those lines in the English modding channel. They have an updated citaro livery and have used the urbino 12 to make an enviro 200 and an eclipse! You can pull them into an editing software and make them your own livery and import it like any other livery you made! The buses look great highly recommend you check them out Edit: They also used the citywide to make an optare tempo and an east lancs esteem :D
