So many incredible memories at this place. Growing up we used to play hide and go seek in the caves for hours. You can truly get lost there (but in a good way)! St Louis has the coolest places. City museum, magic house, science center, botanical gardens, and a city zoo that is FREE!
I went here with a bunch of friends and it was the highlight of our trip to st. Luis. We got lost so many times and I loved it. Even though it rained bad the outside area was closed, the ocean steam punky area more than made up for it.
i wouldn’t even call it a museum. It’s literally a fever dream. It is so random and feels so dangerous at some points but it truly makes it part of the experience. There’s nook’s everywhere that lead to amazing places. I definitely recommend pockets *WITH* zippers just because there’s tons of areas where you can drop items like phones 100+ feet. Also going with a buddy makes it fun and more safer. -many areas are not large friendly. This area is truly made for kids 10-18ish so if your tall, buff, chunky or just big…maybe not the best thing. Sure there’s definitely areas that you can go to but expect 70% of the total areas to be inescapable. Anyways just a total blast, food courts, near union station, etc. St. louis is a literal fever dream!
Okay so I grew up in the St Louis area and never seen this place wow! But I’m also not the person that would actively seek out a place like this because we had plenty of free playgrounds when I was a kid. Today I am looking for some playtime for my toddler since children today can’t just go outside by themselves. So cool, I’m definitely going to check it out. Right now my toddler is 2 years old so I may waist my money but we are trying things out/exploring new things
The only differences I’ve noticed since premier took over are the closure of the two slides you’ve mentioned and shorter hours. The city museum used to regularly stay open until midnight most days but now they close at 5 or 6 pm most days.
St. Louis is technically my native hometown but I haven't been back since I was a baby. This is definitely a place I've wanted to visit for a long time. There was a time when I probably wouldn't have had the mobility to manage it, but I am a cyborg now.
@@CanobieCoaster I’m so excited to have something I can share with people when I want to show them all this place has to offer. St Louis isn’t always the first place people think to travel to, but we love St Louis!
Why is this place full of adults? What in the hell is this? Slides and climbing parks are for kids. Apparently adults are now in an arrested development.
A physical "House On the Rock" A clear example of a mans imagination & will to see it through. St. Louis is an amazing city with a rich history. I did the Arch, Museum of Transport over 20 yrs. ago. Does not surprise me that they'd have this incredible attraction as well. While climbing is no longer my thing, there is still plenty of other things for me to do. Great video!
@@ThemeParkAvenue kind of. The Ops are insanely fast on Outlaw Run, I'd say do Powder Keg first since it gets the longest lines. Time Traveller stays pretty consistent 40 to 45 minutes in wait time. The others at most 30min waits.
Unfortunately I've only been to this place once, but I remember it being really fun! I wish there were more places like this, where it's easy to get lost and your always finding new weird areas. I think normal playgrounds could stand to take some inspiration from the city museum. If/when my siblings have kids I'll make it a priority to bring them here.
It's an amazing place to explore, my family went when we were kids so I had some memories, expecially with whale entrance. But my sisters and I just revisited it in June of this year and it was incredible. It can be really difficult to keep track of where the rest of your party is if you are in a group. Be prepared to wake up to bruises and soreness, espically if you aren't that active.
I wonder if the tunnel underground is still there. I have...bad memories of it as a kid. It was like a 3x3 ditch cut into the ground, with some glass blocks in the top for light.
@@CanobieCoaster makes sense, it's a very enclosed space that'd be impossible to clean. The aquarium used to be much bigger. Now, there's a new aquarium at Union Station. They also have a ferris wheel, carousel, fountain + fire show, light show, mini golf, mirror maze and rope course. It's nice to have another attraction downtown, since it's so hard to get out to Six Flags without a car.
I haven't been there in a long time since I'm a single guy in my 30s. At the same time, it's the number one place I tell people to visit when they come here. There's just simply no place like it in the world.
I remember going to this when I was little, it was so cool. The mail shoots being slides, the airplanes, the fire truck... I always found this 1 latter connecting the 2 planes together sketchy and it had what I thought was this 1 loose bolt and you look straight down while climbing it so I was terrified. It was super cool though all the stuff there was here.
COOL review. what an amazing place. i love sitting in the bar there and playing the vintage games. St Louis is so cool. i love those swivel chairs on the roof.
I went here 9 years ago with a big group of friends and I loved it. I think knee pads are a must with the amount of crawling you do. Did you get a chance to do the hamster wheel?
@@CanobieCoaster It was in the vault room but I just learned it was removed in 2021. It honestly makes sense because it was pretty easy to get hurt on.
