The City of Adelaide is the world's oldest surviving clipper ship and spent 23 years making annual runs transporting passengers and goods from London and Plymouth to Adelaide. Researchers have estimated that a quarter of a million South Australians can trace their origins to passengers on the City of Adelaide.
