Great city. I'm friends with many successful people that live here from business owners, nurses, doctors, airline pilots, corporate professionals, etc. It's reasonably priced from the real estate to the restaurants and the average age of the locals is in the low 40s. Lots of younger active lifestyle people here. You see them every morning and evening walking, running, riding their bicycles and taking out their boats. The weather is also fantastic! Lots of new growth coming our way every day.

Hi. I am moving from central Calif to Cape Coral. I have read a lot and it sounds lovely however, I can't find any information on the pros and cons of bringing my dog and cat with me. I read about the mosquitoes (my concern is heart worm) cane toads and venomous snakes. I love my dog and cat and wonder what risked there are in bringing them with me, oh yes, and the West Nile monitor lizard. I have wossy California dogs who have never seen a snake let alone a venomous snake and we don't have heart worm here. Can someone comment on these concerns please? thank you

Would love to move there. After i get my trucking liscense. So i can buy a house. Is there a market for sculpture artist? Gallerywise? Im kinda confused on the HOA thing whats that about sounds like a old man scam. Anyone have any answers? Sounds like the Arizona of florida to me with the low crime rate and affordable homes and relaxed environment. Some of these comments are making me think people have there city on lock with the outa towners. Thats fine. I like the concept of it being out of the sinkhole belt. But does it flood from the hurricanes as well? I hate californias corruption and dislike the arid desolite areas of the west. And the high crime rate of the east. Florida or hawaii sound legit to me.

nice place to visit no parks for kids... serious nothing modern!!! best thing about the place is the buffet across the street from Walmart now that's bomb... movie theater are old not even modernized try a harkins theater Vs a Cape Coral Theater... that will open your eyes to how far back they are.. or the Edison Mall Vs the Dallas gallerias mall. that will Open you eyes how far back they are... freeways... are a joke... LA traffic with no freeways!! takes 45 Mins to cross the 🌉 phoenix or San Antonio freeways system make that look like model T car Vs the V8 car wait ford lived there😂😂😂 like o said great place to visit for a weekend after that you stayed to long. in the stuck in the civil war residents good ol' boy's mentality go to Miami or Tampa or Orlando best thing about the place is driving through the have lunch at the pink flamingo on captiva island!! the 💍 swing is fun after few beers.
My sister lives there. I went to take my wife to dinner at 7:00 p.m. and restaurants were closing. Found a BBQ place. Horrible food. Boring place. Absolutely nothing to do. Empty homes. Foreclosure galore. Nice looking homes, but that’s about it.

He saved money, built his credit. And he bought a pool home on his own with NO help, and closed before he was 21 years old. So tell us Ron, why could he, with all of those disadvantages, do it, but Ron can't? Stop blaming others. Stop lying to justify your exaggerations. Get off your butt, change your life, and work for what you want.
Well, really it's only known by those names to folks who desire to maintain an unattractive pessimistic point of view about what most consider to be a beautiful, low crime, visitor friendly city. Foreclosures occurred nationwide, and of course would be more prevalent in high growth areas. That is just common sense. In regards to being the "Land of the Dead", if you are talking about our elderly population, we tend to respect them more here than that and hold them in a higher regard. Some of those folks fought wars to maintain your right to express yourself in the classless way that you just did. I'm sure you were just joking, but it was hard to recognize, lacking humor and all.
Robert Guth Very classy Robert and why I love this city. My husband and I bought a home in Cape Coral last year and will be selling our home in Massachusetts and relocating there hopefully very soon. In the short time that we've been there, we've already made new friends, and love the friendly atmosphere. The entire area is beautiful and we've seen consistent building of businesses and new homes.
