Singapore is considered one of the most advanced regions in the world. What intrigues you the most about this fascinating city?

From 3rd world to 1st world in a single generation. That alone is remarkable.

This is what happens when disciplined, competent & intelligent leaders & citizens lead the country.

As an American, I am continuously shocked at what it actually look like when a country is governed in a way that is dedicated to improving and sustaining a good quality of life for its people. America is the richest country on the planet and it is a shame that we do not even attempt half of these policy’s and projects. Such a beautiful thing to see a country that strive for innovation first, and not profits above all else like the US has.

this happens when politicians care about the people and think of their betterment in long terms than just 4-5 years till next elections.

At least some places are thinking about the longer term than just the next quarter or election.

They started by changing the way they educate children, from then everything changed.

i have visited Singapore, and find it clean, the people polite, the city well organized, and a people who are proud of the self-sustainability and country. That city is candy to one's eyes, with great food. Was I impressed? yes

As a Singaporean, I would recommend Singapore as a great place to visit and if possible to stay for a few months, soak in the innovative vibe and take in as many ideas as you can. But like Japan, be forewarned the pace is intense. As days turn into months and months turn into years, it will wear you out. There is always someone better after your job, some other company trying to destroy yours. If you get a good business running, it is tempting to run it 7 days a week. The money can be good. Taxes are low. The time will come when you will yearn for less crowds and more wide open spaces and your own space, and this city living will become a pleasant curse. Pleasant because it is safe and clean and how long you want to tolerate it before it drives you crazy.

Honestly as a singaporean I’m impressed with what we’re doing

I had the opportunity to go to Singapore back in 2006, and a good deal of the city was still under construction. Looking at this now it's truly astounding how far the city has come; Truly amazing.

I am Brazilian and I had the pleasure of spending 3 months in this incredible country. I went on business and was impressed how the country works so well in so many ways. The combination of the collective disposition of its native people and those who choose Singapore to live in, together with the government tools that strive for the country's general modernity, is what makes Singapore such a wonderful gem. Besides being one of the most amazing places to go sightseeing, it's a magnificent place to think about living forever.

Got to give Singapore all the credits. It is such a small country with no natural resources, has a short history and within the last fifty years has achieved so much.

Singapore is like an Asian Wakanda....

Just got back from Singapore, and yes. This country is on another league in terms of tech and attitude. World class!

I love Singapore, being ex merchant navy I visited many times and spent days waiting for my ship so I could board. Even back then some 15 to 20 years ago when I was last there, it was a vibrant clean and exciting place to be. The culture of Singapore is vibrant and oh so friendly. One was always aware of the greenery wherever one went. It is no surprise to me that it continues to excel. A beautiful country and people for sure.

Singapore’s public housing program is undeniably one of her great successes, justifiably admired throughout the world.

This country is the best example of everyone did their part in the project, and the project itself was a huge success!

But when the first time my wife and I visited this amazing and beautiful Merlion City and its country last September for our wedding anniversary, we fell in love with it and we said to ourselves, We will come back to visit this country again and again like forever!! Great, Country ! visited only once ,wish to revisit again , Singapore Airways was the Airways, we utilised to and fro Mumbai , great country ,technologically much advanced , had great hospitality in the hotels , enjoyed INDIAN FOOD , LONG LIVE INDIA and SINGAPORE .

Singapore is a testament to human ingenuity and a showcase of a truly progressive, forward thinking society, including the government taking care of its people. Not by usual heavy taxing and red tape either, but by providing opportunities, supporting science and encouraging innovation. Amazing place!

Indian Living in Singapore from few years, When I came here I was shocked to know that there can be a CRIME FREE city, where women can walk alone in lonely area even at mid night. Police here is super quick to act and even spend time to solve very simple cases.

I'm watching this documentary because I just returned from visiting Singapore for the first time, and I was HIGHLY impressed by this city/state. It really shines in terms of cleanliness, organization, technology, and architecture. It is right up there with Tokyo as my favorite cities in the world. There's so much more I'd like to explore so I'm going back soon. And this documentary made me that much more excited, seeing how forward-thinking Singaporeans are. I can't wait to see what this city will be like in 50 years.

As a Singaporean, I don't really want to caveat how great i think this city is. I'm just going to say that as our society matures and as the young people take over, social inequities will also change for the better.

Also to note: Elon Musk tried to make a TESLA partnership with Singapore. However Singapore declined that partnership. Elon assumed that Singapore was "opposing alternative vehicles" as our income would rely on fossil fuels. However, we hit back hard with the data that individual electric vehicles is less of a movement to protect the environment and instead a way to capitalise on the fact that it is a "Lifestyle" and that it would be more effective to have a Mass-Public Transport system that could reduce the number of vehicles, and there could also eventually be alternatively powered public transport as well.

I was probably born under a lucky star to be able to experience Singapore a few months back during a student exchange program at the NUS,and right from the societal congeniality as well as the overall sense of responsibility and passion for the labour and following dictums among the people was astounding in every sense of the word.Indeed Singapore is a true exemplar for the modern cities or rather world in totality.

After watching this documentary about Singapore, it can be an example for several countries. I really love the way Singaporean teachers teach their children with the utilization of technology that supports learning enthusiasm, imagination, thinking, and more.

When the goal of the government of a national is focused on elevating the quality of life of her people instead of how to control, subdue and exploit them, that nation will thrive and prosper. We lived in Singapore in the 70s of last century, I am proud of what that tiny country is doing and achieving. Good job and keep going!

The details found in this documentary is highly educational and informational which perhaps many wouldn't have known even if they live in Singapore. Singapore is not perfect by any measure, and so is every other city out there. Nevertheless, Singapore's achievements are remarkable relative to many other cities. I am proud to be Singaporean (in a humble way) and the amazing feats we have achieved thus far while we continue to push the boundaries of possibilities to surpass previous milestones.
