The Stormterror's Lair theme really puts into perspective the war that Vennessa and Venti fought freedom for. I mean, just roaming around the ruins is pretty depressing. I understand why Venti didn't act like his usual jolly self at the end of his own Story Quest.
It wasn't vennessa who freed the people from the ancient tyrant, it was someone else who Venti took the form of. Vennessa is a muratan who saved mondstadt from filthy aristocrats years after they defeated the ancient tyrant.
the fight for freedom with Vennessa was 1600 years ago while the fight to overthrow the last ameno king was 2600 years ago, Venti became the ameno God and took his human bard form and was now responsible for ruling over Mondstadt but he wanted his people to live freely thus letting them rule over themselves without interfering ,in his words ,"what is freedom if demanded by a God"
13:18 seeing Leonard’s story during the meteor event... it was one of the handful of moments in this game where I thought “this game is amazing”. He wasn’t able to climb Pilos Peak, but he made designs for what would eventually become the Wind Glider out of his love for adventuring... I can’t describe my feelings in detail, but that moment in the cutscene where it is revealed that Leonard made the Wind Glider... it was an awesome moment for some reason. I probably felt that way because I have been using the Wind Glider to travel to various places the entire time because I just loved exploring the open world.
I hope that at some point Aether gets his wings back. If using a glider is good imagine how great would it be to use powered flight like in the opening cutscene
I had feels for a different reason. As players we've all climbed to some tall place and glided down, experiencing all that beauty and loving it. But Leonard wasn't able to climb atop pilos peak to experience and enjoy that T__T
I swear when I play genshin and hear this ost it floods me with so many memories!! Instantly searched for it the moment I heard it in game after 1yr+ of playing
26:36 - "I'm afraid to say that the God of Salt, Havria, was not the powerful god you imagine her to be. Rather, she was a small and weak god who yielded to all other gods..." The amount of onions on that side quest, man...
Today we're smiling while listening to this great OST Tomorrow we'll be crying for the last time we close the game And the day after tomorrow is when we smile and cry at the same time for the nostalgia feels it brings.
19:37 is my favorite song in this game. It's beauty leaves me in awe and stopped me in my tracks when I first heard it. Incredible song, just lovely. Wow.
@@softgirl1236 thank you reminding me of this beautiful gem. I wonder where I was in the game when I posted it. Today I am AR 60, can 36 abyss, have 41 units level 90, & still play every day. 🥲 I've grown so much since I made that post. And I still love this game and many songs I've heard since back then. Though this one will always hold an especially special place to me. Looking forward to Fontaine! :)
restless blazing sun (16:39) is my personal favorite, it really captures the feeling of being away from monstadt and its people and the loneliness of it i guess? idk if that makes sense or not
32:51 hits me hard man...like an anime's final episode, or a great manga's last chapter...haven't felt like crying this hard since i last saw the last ch for Gintama and Negima (before UQ Holder existed)
I actually stayed in Stormterror’s Lair after I completed the quest just to listen to the music. I think it’s absolutely beautiful :) I can’t wait to journey into the other villages and territories because I know that Genshin Impact has made other songs that I’ll really like
23:32 A new day with hope is so beautiful... when this plays, I stand on the highest mountain with my razor and just look over mondstadt and the feels-
The first music be like kaeya standing on a cliff staring afar, imagining his home far away, and his dad who throw him in mondstadt and his step father who died

26:36 Ruins of an ancient civilization that knew only fear, wailing in the air of a guardian, and a floating island in the distance where noble souls lie. Not only does it happen in Stormterror's lair, but all of Mondstad seems to emit a certain sadness
I just realised what it is: Mondstadt and its citizens remind me of the Shire in Middle Earth and the hobbits. It's just a kind of home. Yet we're bound to leave it and when we return - if we return - we're like Frodo. We feel we don't belong anymore. Too much time passed; too much we've seen and done; too much that has happened since we left. And yet, however far away we are - physically or in our heart - from the place we once called home, when we hear a familiar tune, old memories arise that have never died. And we see, just for a moment, behind that veil of time and space, an old home and the faces, kindly smiling, of those we once called family. It is still... home.
Hey guys if you like this game you should check out Breath of the Wild. It’s a game that took actual effort to make and isn’t an unoriginal piece of garbage.
29:56 forsaken child of ancient times was just so powerful. I knew this game was something special once I heard this song play. And when the choir started singing I was completely taken aback. You can just feel Dvalin's sadness and loneliness in the song and it's just amazing.
Imagine on Year 2050, "You have completed all the chapters, Thank you For Playing Genshin Impact. THE END." In that day, im gonna comeback here and cry my eyes out.
When I teleport to Stormterror's Lair and this starts playing, (26:36), I sometimes cry. The music is so beautiful and full of emotion, I can't belive this game and the full soundtrack are both free.
It's very beautiful, it make me remember when with my twin, we saw the Venti cinematic with the nameless bard . This cinematic is very beautiful and sad in the same times
@@fireowe585 I just played since day 1, I have like 70% chests found, all story missions done, using all resin and doing all daily commissions everyday, no refreshes used, and I only used 3 fragile resin(I think)
@@phamthanhhoang9518 WuxiaWorld novels update every day, Japanese mangas update from every week to every month, TV shows like A Song of Ice and Fire or the West Word update new seasons every year, and CyberPunk 2077 has been delayed again……
Forsaken Child of the Ancient Times is hands down the best ost for me. Can't help but remember the archon war against Decarabian, the former anemo archon before Barbatos and his friend worked together to overthrow him. It's like the ost is meant to carry the hopes of the people of old Mondstadt along with many lives lost during the war. Oh, and the "ooooooooh" part just hits different.
Dang, I suddenly missed the old days where I was just only a simple traveler who gather ingredients in the wild and explore Mondsadt while the OS's plays 😳✊🌿 And now here we are travelling at the third nation, 3 down 4 to go 😭
THANK YOU MIHOYO FOR INVESTING IN ALL THESE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. Honestly, music makes up so much in a game...along with high quality and beautiful graphics we listen to god-tier music. I sincerely thank Mihoyo and wishes it to keep up with its awesome job
This really hits me hard. I started playing during the pandemic. I still play this, and I'm ar 56. I'm glad to listen to this. It takes me back to when I enjoyed being free of any responsibilities during the pandemic because there was no school and no basketball training. I miss those days and the feeling when I first enter the monastery and am just walking and running around, amazed by the place and the people. I love this game. Thank you for creating this game.
I played the game a little bit later but I have the exact fond memories of this pretty game like you do! It helped me a lot during unhappy or free moments.
Just pulled klee today. although I can't level her up because I'm at AR43 and I'm basically poorer than zhongli and mona, I'm still happy to have her running around mondstat and just chill with the music👌✨
Genshins ost is, and always has been, incredible and I have my favorites, but Midday Prospects is so special to me. I have only recently rediscovered my love for the game after a long time of not actively playing. Due to this I have also gotten back into listening to the ost I love it. I love it so much, but hearing midday prospects after this time- after ANY time has passed... It feels like it welcomes you in the way only someone you love can. It greets you like a sunset reflecting on cider lake, like a dear friend picking you up from a flight back home after months of being apart. It touches the soul in a way I haven't heard anything else touch it before. Maybe it's just late or my period is starting soon, but it is special. And what makes it even more special is that it's from MY game. The game I feel like has changed me forever because it will stay with me forever. Because beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it seems a miracle that I can behold such beauty. Because I love it more than I've ever loved a piece of art and I am so thankful for that.
I am a 1.0 player and saved a large chunk of HoyoMix into a playlist yet Midday Prospects eluded me. Thank you for sharing because I will be playing for many more years to come.
I Imagine Mondstadt themes will be the things I will play in my headphones in summer, it just begs you to lie down somewhere where light summer breeze can reach you and take a relaxing nap.
My favorite tracks so I can come back to them later >:) Track 2 - 01:42 Track 17 - 19:37 Track 18 - 20:50 Track 22 - 26:36 Track 23 - 29:56 Track 25 - 34:30 ! BONUS ! Track 15 - 16:39
someone has probably pointed it out, but there are some similarities in the atmosphere of Dvalin's theme and those of Dragonspine. maybe that's just how ancient dragons vibe...
*13:18** remember when the time when you first time enter the game and just wandering around the world at Teyvat with awe and Amazing feeling of the world without caring about what characther, weapon or artifact. I miss those time*
16:39 i remember seeing some comments where people said that this soundtrack makes them uneasy and some even turned the music off but i honestly get such a nostalgic feeling when i come to Mondstadt and hear this. definitely my favourite
23:32 Ever since I first heard "A New Day With Hope", I stopped exploring my surroundings for a bit, and listened to how calming the soundtrack was. The vibes of the soundtrack definitely matches the title, and honestly, every time I heard it, I'd always stop and listen for a bit, I didn't want the music to change just yet. A New Day With Hope can have many meanings just by how it sounds. "Reunion", "saying goodbye", "how far I've come", "positive realization", "a new day with hope", and etc. I hope this soundtrack plays when the twins finally reunite in the end, it would very much bring tears to my eyes.
