No. You have to register in the same state where you are living

Hi.if at the time of visa i gave documents for Hamburg campus, but nw i changed my campus to Berlin post getting visa, will thre be any issues in anmeldung? As in my passport it's mentioned for Hamburg

As far as I know you can actually come to Germany and enrol in the Berlin campus and you have to do a normal city registration (anmeldung). Once you reach Berlin uni just go to the international office on campus and tell them about your situation they might tell you about the procedure for visa update if there is any. I think there is no extra process but you can just confirm.

Hello. So there is a difference between Tax ID and Tax number. Tax ID that you get as a foreigner in Germany never changes! Not even when you move or get married. Tax number whereas is a number given to self employed people or Freelancers which will be changed if the person moves to a different state.

I thought if I change anmeldung then my tax id will also get renewed and all my previous record will be deleted as well.

@@InTheLifeOfJB But I will not get tax number I will be there as a foreigner and doing my MS study. So My tax id will never be changed after changing anmeldung...right na?
