I think Panzers are strong enough that it justifies going out of your way for them, kind of like Rome's Legions. I have used Panzers on lower difficulties and the only problem was not having fast ranged units. If there was a reliable way for them to get something like a Camel Archer but for the modern era, then Germany would be one of the strongest civs overall, and they already one of the best war civs.
From what I've been reading, Panzers are strong enough to take cities. I guess I'll find out. I'm going to give them every boost possible. Lightning Warfare, Total war, discipline, and Heroic Epic.
@@necrasin Panzers might be enough with bombers too if you go city attack strength. You will probably kill most of the units with Panzers. Plus, deserts give a ton of oil, so you should be able to get enough.
@@necrasin Sinai and Petra are the only things that motivate me to move to deserts. I usually try to avoid them otherwise, so I am glad that you got Sinai and Desert Folklore. Here is hoping for Petra.
@@necrasin I got it on immortal OCC because I spent more time getting my city strong. I think I also got it in one other game, but it was also in the cap. I seriously doubt it can be done in an expand.
Game pace does not change much. In fact, quicker game paces are probably harder because units move slower compared to the rate of stuff like sci or culture. I just love quick game pace, it is what I played when first getting the game, and what most people at the time also played. Now, it is the only game pace I know a lot of the benchmarks for in terms of how many turns things should take. I would need to practice on longer game paces.
@@necrasin I have only played marathon a few times on lower difficulties. For some reason, I kind of want to complete a time victory on marathon. It might be a fun challenge, but I should devise some strategies on quick game pace first. I also do not think that time victory is possible when sci or diplo victory are available, maybe with the other two also active though
@@necrasin You can't get food trade routes, so the bonus production from CS trade routes was incredible. I had like +40% production in my city. Again, it is much easier to win with Venice and go diplo, especially with the Freedom tenet for bonus influence from CS trade routes, but I wanted to try sci victory because PC J Law once said it was impossible.
