29:38 Honestly the idea of a +20 Campus is just nuts. I don't think it'd be worth it to give up that holy site personally, but that campus, with a national park and the double-up card would be worth 40 science on its own. Madness.
i love that you're playing georgia again with these mods. i recently played a huge earth TSL start with them, also using cyp wide and tall. i scored an early relic, and then found kandy. idk if its a bug, but the reliquaries triple faith, kandy bonus% faith to relics and the cyp moksha bonus% stack in an insane way. i popped in voidsingers and by the time i unlocked the extension buildings in my TWO cities, i was far and away the tech and culture leader becaus of voidsingers despite only really having holy sites and industrial zones in those cities.
ahh Tamar. sometimes when I boot civ I have an inexplicable urge to spread my religion to the work via papal envoy placement - but the game just hates Georgia and Tamar sooo much XD
Best religious name for Georgia "Rastamarianism" 😂 I think i did the yellow lion and named it Rastamarian in my one Georgia playthrough. She's "quite Ok" in base game. Not OP but definitely not a weak civ. People sleeping on how powerful being able to have a lot of suzerains earlier in the game and how useful easier golden age stringing is. They aren't super easy to just get all the time on harder difficulties.
One useful trick to unlock your religion faster with holy site prayers : Keep your techs and civics at 1 turn form completion, to keep the project cost as low as possible until you can grab your prophet
I'm pretty sure the amount of prophet points are proportional to the production (15% IIRC). There might be some rigging if you don't need that many points but early tecks and civics tend to be useful
It actually scales! "Holy Site Prayers is a project in Civilization VI. It becomes available after building a Holy Site district (or one of its replacements). While this project is underway, the entire city is dedicated to holy pursuits, converting 15% of its Production Production output to Faith Faith. When completed, it yields Great Prophet Great Prophet points equal to approximately 22% of the Production Production invested in it (on Standard speed)."
Ursa, I've been watching more of your videos and I early game I notice you don't specialize the cities for Food/Production, but often you are very worried about squeezing a turn or two off a holy site or campus build time. (like in this game). What advantage(s) are you getting from not specializing?
I only ever specialise cities by locking in individual tiles rather than pressing the buttons - I like the manual control! I often also do a lot of optimising off camera for the flow of the vid, I'll try and leave a bit more in the next few series so you can see it = )
damn, i would have never been able to not go for the southwest tile settle on ik-kil - with plantation pantheon, chichen itza and a zoo later for the giga yields
My most recent win was with Georgia, used the Zombie defense mode thinking they would be a good source of Faith late game but they just gave 10 Faith per kill no matter how strong they were 😀
