I really like how much happy you see playing this game, is contagious. I'm in a very low moment in my life, but your daily video always make me feel better. Thank for that!
Sorry to hear that Felipe but I'm glad I'm helping in some small way! Just remember to reach out and chat to people, even if it's just about innane stuff, it always helps!
This is a splendid video. Not only did it get an above average Huzzah score, it included three examples of rarely heard Aid Request, Relic Recovery and Wonder Completion huzzahs. The committee approves!
Am now wondering if the lack of snowy polders is intentional or did someone just forget to make a snowy option? They've made the wonders with snow options.... trying to picture other unique improvements with different climate options.
So I think sometimes you do get them, it's just the game sometimes doesn't load the graphics in. Like how sometimes if you reload a game the flooded land doesn't look right? Sometimes as I load the map a bit it clicks in, it's weird
@@UrsaRyan Ahhh that makes sense. It's probably a low priority on the list of all the things that have to render and maybe some days it just doesn't feel like it. I did enjoy all those lovely colourful fields in the snow!
The +3 radius doesn't seem like much, but it more than doubles the amount of tiles reached. I just ran the numbers, and each ring around a hex adds 6 more tiles than the previous ring, which means at radius 7 (including self) they reach 127 tiles, but at radius 10 that's a whopping 271 tiles. Math below: 1: 1 2: +6 = 7 3: +12 = 19 4: +18 = 37 5: +24 = 61 6: +30 = 91 7: +36 = 127 8: +42 = 169 9: +48 = 217 10 + 54 = 271
If it was up one tile then the capital wouldn't have been in range. If it could be places on the hill to the right it would have gotten everything plus Leiden.
Turned into a boring game. Those trade route buffs are just too strong and everybody got along. The good news, of course, is that the next game is likely to be completely different.
The thing is even buffed Dutch is still weaker than a good dozen civs I can think of. I mean BM teddy starts with the culture and science from turn 1! Can't win them all huh = (
