that wasn't top speed, i just got scared bc that was my first time hitting 150, and im still on stock tires 60k miles. Pretty sure my top speed is around 170
@@seannsean bolts on and base map tune i adjusted a bit. so catless dp, rest exhaust stock, 3inch intake, intercooler, and springs. that's basically it. I have about 6 more parts just sitting at home tho. def gonna be pushing more power in the next couple months

This year of Si isn’t bad looking I’ve owned two Si’s a 99 and a 2009 loved them both, great cars lots of fun and still practical, I now have a stock 2018 Golf R as my daily
my veloster 2012 N/A 6 speed manual stock except mushroom filter and open pipe can reach 210 km/hr and has only 138 horsepower. This civic SI has 200hp so its not impossible this car can reach 260km/hr
@@seannsean it was a fbo for sure. On a 93 tune they make about 240-250 wheel. On an ethanol tune they’re close to 300wheel in a car that weighs less than 3,000lbs. He was probably on an ethanol mix tune.
Si can put in some work. Civics have been tearing up the streets for over 45 years now. Too bad the newer civics (1.5L) have limited capabilities with the small motor, the 9th gen (2.4L) boosted can put in WORK. Dope video

@@K20C2-Slow for a Honda engine, it’s quite limited coming from the factory boosted 1.5L. The K-series can be built NA, turbo, supercharged, Frankenstein builds etc. I’m not saying it’s slow because it’s not, but it has its limitations

95% chance its a simple drop in turbo like Rv6 or W2 and a etune from innovative motorsports or Phearable tuning 😂. Thats the go to set up and tuning method to get 300whp. And an plug and play flex fuel kit will bump that up to 347whp. Stock suspension handles that speed extremely well

Kills me when people hit 160 mph zigzagging but use a turn signal to change lanes. Like that makes it all ok and cops will totally go easy on you because you signaled your felonious movements.
It's a good habit to use blinkers whether you're driving like a Speed-Demon or just Driving @ Legal speed. Remember, Speed -Demons don't always drive like a Felon. If one doesn't use blinker cause they're doing something illegal anyway so let's double-down, one is more-likely to forget that blinkers exist when driving in a legal manner.

I had stock Honda accord 1999 (cf4 chassis number) japan made only) it had top spec tyres potenza re 003 it kept up i was just doing pulls from low speed. This Honda civic has no top end vtec. Which my accord did it was good match to see which car was better. My accord was F20B engine sohc
i own an si so i can vouch here.. hes definitely tuned cause the stock speed limiter is at 132 iirc? the gearing is pretty good, so it'll take you up to 160 i think. i haven't tested that one myself haha
2006 Honda civic si is as fast as this si gen and same with the 11th gen. LOL. Stock they are pretty slow. A little more mod potential on the turbo vs the na vtec though but not short of doing fbo/ethanol tune to get like 250-300whp. Then again it's just 1.5t. The type R is the Honda that can haul ass stock.
@@abtalktoem_1956 That's what I'm saying. 10th and 11th are barely any faster than the 8th. 15 years of time and the SI hasn't gotten any quicker. They all run 15's. Car and driver also has the 1/4 trap speeds the same almost too lol.

Not bad, Ive seen my car (02 Porsche Boxster S 3.2) hit just over 175 mph.... stock; no turbos/supercharger etc. All with only about 252 factory Porsche ponnies !!! 😂 Example Porsche was not my "personal" vehicle mind you. Thus since my car has all the usual standard upgrades/bolt ons, aka, intake, IPD plenum, throttle body, exhaust (no headers or tune yet) I'm assuming my car will do over 175; somewhere in the range of 175 - 182 mph.... That is without forced induction or upgraded internals etc. Imo, of course!

@IEATU95 Olay good, I was about to say cause the m2 makes like 432 crank hp and is fairly light. The way the civic owner makes it sound like he has bearly any mods so it should be a cake walk for the m2. Just wondering why the m2 didn't just wax the civic.
