I'm a little confused about creating the subgrade volume surface. How, when comparing your FG surface to your depth surface does it generate your subgrade? I don't understand how generating a surface made from polylines hundreds of feet away from your FG can generate it. If you could elaborate for me I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
As someone who learns by doing, this tutorial didn't help me very much. A lot of points here are just "Oh yeah I made this before we started, super simple, don't worry about it but it's integral to the tutorial and if you don't have it then we can't do this entire section". While there isn't anything particularly wrong with that, the main problem is there is no dwg file that we can download to follow along. As a result, most of this information doesn't retain very well for me.
