[CIVIL LAW LECTURE] Introduction to Persons and Family Relations Part 01

Persons and Family Relations is a five unit subject that you will encounter during your first week, possibly your first day in law school in the Philippines. It’s divided into two parts - Persons, which covers the first part of the Civil Code and Family Relations, which in turn is covered by the Family Code.
Persons, along with Obligations and Contracts are the two Civil Law subjects covered in your first year of law school in the Philippines. They are offered first precisely because they lay down the foundation of civil law.
Once you know Persons plus Obligations, you will have an excellent platform for a high level of performance for civil law subjects such as Sales and Lease, Transportation and Public Utilities Law, Torts and Damages, Credit Transactions, among others.
Hindi ako nabiyayaan ng magandang pundasyon sa Persons and Family Relations, kapatid. Kaya hayaan mong simulan ko ito sa isang babala - mga bata, huwag tularan.

Oh my gosh ! A while ago the Philippine Association of Law school had a lecture about Labor Law and Criminal Law and now here’s Persons and Families under Civil Code ! Wow just wow , thank you very much attorneys for giving your time and knowledge to us! Im a hopeful law student ! I want to enroll to law school after this quarantine it was my dream from the very beginning but I have no courage! Im a graduate of Customs Admin( I think its also a pre-law course) and Masters in B.A , and this quarantine made me realize that I really wanted to pursue Law ! Thank you to these online lectures ! Instead of wasting my time watching other vlogs , I watched your vlogs sir and Ms. Isai’s also , More of these lectures sir thabk you so much ! The rule in Statutory Construction is that in case of conflict between an earlier law, and a later law - the two of them must be construed to give meaning to both. If that's not possible, then the later law prevails because it's the more recent/most updated expression of the will of the legislature. For Supreme Court decisions, very rarely do we encounter diametrically opposed decisions. I've been told that there's an entire team of lawyers whose job it is to find prior conflicting decisions. Conflicts are resolved by a clear abandonment at a later decision. The academe calls one of these decisions stray rulings, especially if they aren't reiterated at a subsequent decision. 😀❤️🙏🏼

This is very hrlpful in my part as a mom and takes care a lot of things at home and working at the same time as a prof in one of the universities here at general santos city.
