[Civil Procedure] The concepts of substantive & procedural/remedial laws (Video25) 

You will understand the differences between substantive law and procedural/remedial law. Substantive laws are made by the legislature, create or diminish rights, pertain to the intrinsic validity of the law, and are of prospective application. Procedural/remedial laws are made by the Supreme Court, protect the rights of the parties, grant parties the opportunity to be heard, and are of retroactive application.
