I find it so funny that at 8:41 and 12:25 in both the industrial and atomic eras when it becomes all grand and triumphant, it's the part of the song where the swagman kills himself.

I love that the industrial theme gets more epic at the saddest part in the song. It feels super patriotic

I really like the concept for all the themes progression of duet - band - symphony - modern Olympic games open ceremony piece. It's a great representation of a cultural identity forming over time.
