Civita di Bagnoregio, elevation 443m is a most unique hilltop village of the comune of Bagnoregio in central Italy, 120km north of Rome. From above, it's more obvious that the village sits on top of an unstable foundation that often erodes, and because of this Civita is famously known as "the dying city"
