Thank you for the review. I had seen this one advertised on a few sites and you absolutely answered all of my questions on lock up and if the sheath could carry the knife in either configuration. Like you, I enjoy a karambit styled knife for defense applications and have studied with them extensively for more years than I care to admit to. Unlike John Doe below, I live in Texas where the carrying of this knife is no issue. Thank you again...informative review!!
if you carry a fixed blade for sd, shouldnt this be at least the same style everytime you carry? why put a failure point (pivot) into a fixed blade? i seriously dont get the point of this product. unique? for sure. but whats the point?
It’s a pin going through the scales it’s very strong just like a triad or deadbolt lock and doesn’t fold all the way. Also for the purpose it’s built it won’t fail but it will deploy faster than your folder and that’s the point. He shows this knife breaking ribs and bone in a heavy duty ballistic dummy with limited force and zero failure. It’s not a work fixed blade but to cut someone and defend yourself it will work…
@@lancasteredc7773 yeah. okay. lock = strong. but why? if you carry for sd, your drawstrokes and other movements involved should be second nature, right? why sometimes carry at an angle and sometimes not? i get the novelty part, but practically... i'd prefer a piece of g10 that has a point.
@@shortyxmoshpigx5488 Well whatever works for you but it won blade show award for most innovative design imported. They test these things hard especially if they are going out to law enforcement. The choice is very nice to make it karambit for appendix carry is great or even in the pocket you can curve it or keep it straight to use for quick utility. Options are nice
I was just thinking, how easy would it be to accidentally press the button in a stressful situation if you squeeze the handle wrong? If the button gets pressed under duress you have a floppy flappy sharp bit swinging around. 😬
@@brianbahlmann8382 it won’t swing around at all lol I have one and I have tried that and it doesn’t work. It stay in position maybe trying one out before giving bias options of something you haven’t even touched…
What a crazy coincidence...I have a Toor jankshank too with an ulticlip, and just ordered this one as well. Will probably keep the jankshank when I need a more deep pocket carry and this for more visible carry. I'm in TX too like one of the other commenters but often don't want to be so visibly tactical...but I'm excited for this to show up. LIke you, I now need to buy another ulticlip.
I live in canada and the knife laws here are somewhat stupid but I can carry any length blade I care to carry just no Bali, auto or gravity knives and up to 5 inch concealed only as a tool tho
