The front flipper is so big and the detent it not really that strong...so even if you would not have jimping on the front flipper it would work. I don't like jimping...i think i said this many times...my stand on jimping is: if it's there it should not bother you! I understand how some people might like/need it...but I have not found one case where I would benefit from jimping.
@SpartanJohns you have referenced your right a couple of times and then I noticed your left in this video. Good to hear that you have not taken to a life of bare knuckle fighting, taking nothing but knives as payment. On a serious note, I have seen a couple of reviews of people liking this knife. I have never had a front flipper, for some reason they don't appeal to me. I always feel a bit more secure with a flipper on a liner lock. I imagine if it accidentally closes the flipper will be the first thing to make contact with my index, possibly saving me a digit. However the blade on this knife really looks nice to me and the handle looks like a great shape.
I think I am too old to join a bare knuckle fighting club now...regardless of how inticing it sounds...being paid in knives.... :))) The front flipper on this one is really ok. More for slow deployment than anything else. The thumbstuds work superb for fast and secure deployment. The bladeshape is nice, the grind is thin....overall....the two things i do not like, as mentioned in the video...the feel of the micarta and the pocket clip. The knife I do like and I am using it a bit even if currently i am testing another knife.
