CIX (씨아이엑스) - A Helpful Guide | REACTION 

They're a really promising young group. They got their first music show win with "Movie Star" within a week of debuting, which is one of the fastest ever. Bae Jin Young is literally one of the best dancers of the new generation. All of their songs are really good and they are super-underrated but Cinema and Wave both made a lot of Best songs of (year they were released) lists, even outside Korea, so they do have some recognition. I was lucky to get to see them live last year and they were really great. I can tell you that BX might be more popular than Bae Jin Young. BX and Seung Hun had a lot of YG stans following them. I love Hyun Suk. He is incredibly promising. Thanks for checking them out more!

I have soooooooo many CIX b-sides on my playlist. Their discography is top tier. I think the only other groups on the list that I have as many b-sides added would be Day6 and maybe SF9/Astro. Yonghee is my bias. I thought it would be Jinyoung starting off, b/c I was a HARD Wanna One stan but Yonghee stole me away. He was originally supposed to be an actor, that's why he didn't have very much vocal/dance experience. BX and Seunghun's friendship is a precious thing. They've been through a lot together and I'm glad they got to debut with each other.

I've listened to all of CIX's albums before, but this made me feel like I definitely haven't been listening to their b-sides enough

Watching this after I saw them yesterday in London!! They were incredible, the energy was so good!! One of my favourite & definitely one of the most solid discographies.

about Treasure Box: no, it did not make sense AT ALL that BX and (especially) Seunghun got eliminated.. it was YG's personal decision but i remember being extremally pissed watching the show while it was airing lmao BX had that "YG rap style" and Seunghun was straight up one of the oldest and most talented trainees of the show

Definitely check out their b-sides, their discography is really solid. And yes, you haven't seen title track Numb mv yet.

i’m glad you’re looking more into cix !! their discography is so good, especially the b-sides. you said the song what you wanted sounds familiar, i’ve heard people say it sounds similar to exo’s the eve. the melodies aren’t the same but the song really does sound exo-esque

Thanks for reacting to CIX. You should totally check out the rest of their recent album if u haven't already! there's only three other songs included besides 458. I kinda wish there was more but I was overall satisfied with the album :) their music is just too good!

I'm a FIX and a Teume so I can offer some insight on Seunghun's elimination (and BX). SeungHun was never lacking vocally and dance-wise. The overall issue in hindsight was that he didn't fit the concept YG had planned for Treasure. Treasure was going for a youthful, cute, adolescent, innocent concept which other trainees fit better. And I think it was said best on the show, it was that SeungHun fits sexy, masculine concepts which is what CIX has been doing. I agree with that assessment of him too. The big issue was that YG seemed unnecessarily critical of SeungHun which rubbed many the wrong way. BX's elimination has a rumor to it so take it with a grain of salt. But word is that BX had made the final lineup for Treasure but because Seung Hun didn't make it, he elected to also opt out. Don't know how true that is but it wouldn't shock me because they're very good friends. Overall it's all good haha. A lot of the idols who competed on Treasure Box are still friends with each other so any fanwars that emerge are pointless and idiotic.

it didn't make sense that he or BX got eliminated from the show. It was the CEO YG who lied about the fan voting. Even though BX and Seunghun both had the fan votes to enter the debut group for treasure YG picked favorites and secretly disregarded the votes to pick the "visuals" of treasure.

I feel like once you get to know cix and hear one of the music AND liked the music, then you won’t be able to escape from them 😂 That’s how I was too, I liked one of their songs and now i can’t imagine a world without them lol 😅

Glad to see you are back! I was nervous I’d missed a sad announcement when you didn’t upload for a while haha The tracks that BX helped write, Confession and Off my Mind, are some of my favorites bsides. Them and that entire album are what pulled me in to the group. Def worth checking out. What I appreciate the most about CIX is that I love the group almost entirely because they make great music. I still don’t know some of their names 😅

Thanks for the reaction! This group grabbed me with their music since 2021, but I only took the time to properly learn about them last year. And I'm glad I did - such talented and likeable guys, they've become a top 3 favourite group for me now 💜 Numb is the only title track you haven't reacted to yet btw. Though they do still have plenty of other MVs haha - They have some of my favourite Japanese releases out there, all fantastic, and their Universe song Tesseract is great too 🔥 Also yeah, they've been on Studio Choom a bunch of times, great videos.

I'm a little late but I'll answer to some of things you said here! 1. BX and Seunghun suffered a lot (even cried) during YG Treasure Box and were eliminated clearly bc the CEO just didn't like them (which it it's fine since it's his group but he didn't have to be that mean with them). 2. Seunghun was a trainee for almost 10 years, 5 in YG and 5 in Cube so he is very talented and seems confident but he actually has a lot of insecurities :( 3. Jinyoung is the most popular member followed by Hyunsuk who has gotten a lot of attention for his visuals and acting roles! 4. As you heard in songs like ICE, Round 2, Like it that way they tend to do a lot of R&B in their bsides. 5. What You Wanted probably reminds you of Oasis by Exo, it has a similar melody since both were written by the same group of producers! 6. As a follow up, that team of producers worked on their first 4 minis and their latest title track so if you like exo (tempo, oasis, kokobop) you'll probably like cix bsides!

Nice, I just watched this guide last week~ The two members that stand out to me are Jinyoung and Yonghee, but I still don't know a ton about the personalities in the group lol. Their music is all top tier 🔥 though, know that for sure.
