Because China has huge investments in the continents of Africa and Latin America, it gives Pakistan a concession on mark up rates, that is the reason behind a restriction on Pakistan to not disclose its projects in Pakistan. CPEC can be hugely beneficial for not only Pakistan but China too. Only the crude oil imports from the Middle East to China will save 20 billions dollars annually for China on logistics only. Pakistan will get 5 billion dollars ( 25%) of those savings for China. On top of that, Pakistan will get tolls on the movement of road transport and railways freight going back and forth to China. International studies show that Pakistani private sector in transport will need roughly 250,000 trucks daily going back and forth from Gawadar to China border . It is in the contract that no Chinese trucks will operate inside Pakistan. So, you can imagine the impact on economy of Pakistan in the transport sector only. Truck transport sector will have one million new jobs. Then there will be sales of diesel fuel, repair shops, hotels and truck stops. Sixteen economic zones will create two million jobs in the industrial sector. Under one belt one road project, there is a plan of a four lane motorway from East Europe to Kolkatta, India and also a double train track. Both, train tracks and motorway will go through Pakistan. The volume of traffic on those will be unimaginable. Pakistan will be able to generate roughly 25 billion dollars each year by collecting tolls on the traffic. Our service industry relating to transport will employ more than one million jobs on this route only. If Pakistan starts building good relationships with Afghanistan, India and Iran, those countries will be more than happy with that effort. Because, they will earn trillions of dollars due to the trade on that route and their logistics savings by using this route from India to Russia and Eastern Europe. Already, more than 47 countries have joined One Belt One Road project including India, Russia, Spain and Italy. Pakistan will be the most beneficial country of this project, because of it’s strategic and geographical location. So, as a nation, we have to think what we are missing due to our internal fights and insanity.
