CK Obsession is a 2011 Overo Double Registered APHA & Pinto Association. This 4 year old gelding is Halter bred: Sire Mighty ck Kid. HYPP NN. As a yearling he took 3rd at the Paint World in Yearling Halter. Calvin is very correct, has a sweet personality, and is very calm. He is ready to go show in halter, showmanship and in all walk trot events (wt pleasure, wt horsemanship, wt hus, wt eq) He is a top notch showmanship horse who loves his job. He could also be ridden in hunter under saddle, with some guidance now. His lope is not finished for western, but he is coming along nicely and is very consistent. He will be able to slow down for the pleasure. Calvin went to one APHA show last year as a 3 yr. old and was shown in Showmanship & Walk/Trot. In Showmanship, he got 2 3rds out of 13 people and got 3 points. He also was shown in the open walk trot and got a 4th and 5th out of 12. This was the first time off the farm, and had not been to a show since he was a yearling. He also went to some open shows throughout the summer--always in the ribbons in showmanship and walk trot. He profiles very pretty going down the rail and has a beautiful head and body. He is currently 16 hands, and I think he will still grow maybe 16'1 or 2.
