We received CKWS in Utica, NY in the 70s. Channel 11!

We get CKWS in Utica with a LOT of sim-subs

I don't live in Canada, but I love it there.

At 0:31 that's the old (pre-ice storm?) transmitter building & tower base... now it's just a small nondescript "shed" for channel 11 and the FM signals. That sign-off definitely hasn't changed much since I lived in Belleville (2001-2003)... no mention of the Smiths Falls tx other than on the list. My grandfather has (on videotape somewhere) a CKWS sign-off from 1986...

What happened to the old sign-off that featured the chirldren's choir singing the candian national anthem? I liked that one better because that's how I learned to sing it and I sing it to some of my canadian customers at work.

That sounds like an infomercial that came before the sign off.

@johnwest19995 I'll have to see if they have updated this since Brighton had to switch to digital because they were on 66.

the audio sounds so... fragmented

sitting here watching Canada Day in the Capital. Ouch! Cowboys off key big time and First nation gal Cassidy Mann?with red hair way off key!!! 6:30 in BC and da show from Ottawa! Wow, next guy with long hair popping out the top (french language) was OK but not my music. Next singer was good .and on key.....what is the song???? 1st one to stay on key and sound good. Turned off the show. Watched Newfound on CBC this morning......GRRRRRRREEEAAT!!!!!!!!!! Happy Canada Day!!!!!!!!
