for reeal bro. remember non stop practice, independent hoodies and element/girl/habitat/world industries/ and a Major SHOUT TO 5 borough NYC, Toy MACHINEEEEE!
yeah too bad Ryan dunn goofed and killed a innocent bystander and also died himself... but no one remembers he was actually driving drunk and killed someone innocent do they? after that Bam showed that he was a real POS that doesn't want to change and blames his poor behavior on his POS drunk ass friend's death. i loved these guys as a preteen/teen. but im realizing they were never good role models
@@metallicarabbityeah that sucks, but you never really get it till you're there. For me there was no crash and nobody was hurt but I got my "Oh shit" moment and changed my life. It's really too bad the same didn't happen for those involved
@@metallicarabbit It took you a while to realize the public menaces weren't great role models? Lmao. What finally tipped you off? Building a skatepark within their home? S**t dollar bill? Destroying hotel rooms?
@@TheDeadManSwitchexactly. Who the hell looked at them as role models 😂 they were just entertainment to me and my friends. These were some really good times though.
Me too man.... it is so sad to see Bam in the position he is in... after losing basically his brother/best friend Ryan Dunn, he went downhill. Addiction is a scary place to be in.
he wont. he will die of an OD and no one will really care. he refuses to accept help form people who care about him and just lashes out at them. im done caring if he makes it. i idolized that man in middle school. hes so washed up now and a huge loser who just wont own his shit
I’m so glad Bam’s dedication brought this bands riff into the ears of millions… because it’s easily up there with the most legendary riffs of all time. Endlessly mind blowing
@@punkrockstormchaser this is his what, 5th time "sobering up?" If he's for real this time, I'll believe it when I see it. But considering the things he's done before just to get alcohol are nothing short of astonishing.
@@SilverFang2789 If you’ve never been through addiction it’s easy to judge. Bam has dealt with a lot of shit times. Between Dunn’s death and then getting kicked out of castle Bam, and basically losing his kid because of his actions, dude put himself through hell. I hope he is able to stay clean and get his life back.
It comes to my memory the first time I played THPS3 with my brother. A game that marked me deeply, from musical tastes to the way I dress. For me, the best Tony Hawk game. I would like to go back to those beautiful ones and nostalgic days. Greetings from Argentina
Lyrics With my perceptions in a mix Down twenty miles through the sticks To the cloudy town of Hellview: Population 96 Excessive vacancy, well maybe In the shadow of an eye All the strangers pass through Where the rules just don't apply At the fork turn left a store But on the right stay free from sight 'Cause 96 quite bitter beings Like to stack the bodies high The only way to ever leave is Overflooded by the storm And entanglement in Hellview Brings you fear in fifty forms (They've deleted all the tourists) (At the bottom of the lake) And not one supports the cause To leave the blood stay in the veins Here, three miles back is where we are All we ever wanted was an answer Civilized are close but way too far All we ever wanted was an answer Footprints giving clue to where we are All we ever wanted was an answer Civilized are close but way too far All we ever wanted (wanted, wanted, wanted)
@@zippymufo9765 Did you even watch Out Cold? He may have his problems Mr. Perfect-Pants but Bam's still got skateboarding in his soul. The video is cold hard proof. Don't be jealous now.
I haven’t heard this song in years. I completely forgot it existed until it popped up on a short. The sound of that legendary riff brings back so many memories
Got to meet bam last week. He was in my hometown on a tour with steveo! So awesome I got a autograph and photo. Thanks bam and cky for making my childhood so great!
My step dad bought a tape off them when they were selling them at a skatepark this was before jackass we live in Pennsylvania yet I ain't never gonna see any of these guys around
I used to hang out in a headshop and play Resident Evil 4 as a 15 year old, that's how I found this song. The employees played it because it matched the games. When I hear it now, that's the vibe I feel, even 18 years later.
As a 25 yr old man, I literally started learning how too play CKY riffs since the beginning of this year of 2023.. CKY is one of those bands that has its own sound and it's fucking brilliant 👏🏽
We used to watch VHS copies of the CKY videos in HS woodshop around 2001, so I was familiar with them. One day I was looking through the cheap cd section at my location music shop, in bum fuck Northern. Found this album and immediately fell in love with them.
Ive been listening to this a lot lately while im drunk and i have to say, it was fun rocking out to this song but damn do i miss ryan dunn. Random hero will never be forgotten.
One of the best riffs of all time. One of the best CDs to pop into your computer, back in the day, and find out there's a dope ass music video included. Best surprise ever!
I first heard this on Tony Hawk as a teenager, much like most of my generation, and fuck me this riff has never left me. It was like nothing I'd ever heard before. Glad that the rest of the song doesn't just create filler for it either, it's a great song.
this song and Evil Eye from THPS2. being not-quite-a teenager and hearing that riff was something else. it's weird, tony hawk introduced me to stoner rock more than skateboarding
Fucking almost got emotional man thinking bout Ryan Dunn and how Viva la Bam was was one of those shows at the forefront of my early childhood and is mostly the reason why I still skate🛹 til this day
