Woah the Recaros look really good in there! Honestly I would have never done this because I hate the SRS light being on but now that I know there's a way to fix that I'd give it shot! Super detailed, bless up!
This walk thru worked for an ‘07 tl type s as well. 99% the same. Only difference is that the TL’s driver/passenger mirror tilts down in reverse and to get it to work, you have to include the black box from under the driver’s side. Also, i didn’t buy those special tools. I just used two channel locks to get the 10mm off and the 8mm were a little tougher. I stripped the 8mm bolts a little then i hammered on a 8mm 12 point socket on and with a channel lock on the other end it came right off
You shouldn't need to take out the weight sensors? I just put the wiring harness off a seat from pick n pull and just plugged in the seat belt only. I also did the airbag resistor as well. No lights or codes
He mentioned something about the 04-05 method being known but the 06-up was supposedly impossible. How much easier is the 04-05 car to do, I have an 05.
So I am going to do this but instead of the Recaro's I am aiming to do Bride Euroster's in mine, with the weight sensors how would they detect weight in order to operate the passenger dashboard airbag? I need to take that into consideration before I just go tearing into a seat and pulling the sensors out. I would appreciate any insight on this because I really want new seats for my car lol
How do you modify or put weight on the weight sensors to turn off the “passenger airbag off” indicator light. That light comes on as soon as i put on the passenger side seat belt
@@currygod8429 yee i did that, the srs light is off, but basically since there’s no weight on the sensors the “passenger airbag off” indicator (not srs light) turns on because it doesn’t detect any weight. You probably have it on too and never noticed, it only turns on when u click in the passenger seatbelt. Having no passenger airbag is kind of concerning
