I have a Dominator 85 1977/78 model was a great machine very reliable I always found it far ahead in output of similar size John Deere or NH in wheat.I don't use her anymore as farm leased now and 2 Lexion's are in use now.She's tucked into a nice snug shed.
That looks and sounds like a very well maintained combine. I used to help keep a fleet of Dominator combines running for someone a few years ago. The bloke i worked for ran a fleet of 20 or so combines that were hired out to farmers at harvest time. Out of over 20 combines he ran 1 New Holland TX36 and a Massey Ferguson 40. All the other combines were Claas machines. 2 of which were lexions all the rest were Dominators he really thought highly of the Dominator range. I found them to be very simple yet reliable machines. They have led Claas to become major players in the Global combine market with their indestructible Lexion range.
