@cumminsl10olympian Not all. Camerons Travel (South Yorkshire) has two. Only one of them is like that, F896 SMU (A Plaxton Paramount), but F69 HWJ (VanHool Alizee) ain't like that
Well as said, she had been sitting out of use for several weeks, and was cold. She idles fine once warmed up, but you can't expect a near 30 year old engine to run completely smoothly, instantly, after having no use for a prolonged period.
Very common for old diesels particularly mechanical injection diesels (regardless of the age of a mechanical diesel) to have a bouncy idle when theyre cold. They just do it. When they warm up it goes away
