The way I see it, there are four ways to deal with bullies. 1: Ignore them 2: Fight them 3: Tell the teachers 4: Pretend that you’re into it and creep them out. Though in Rei’s case, she’s not pretending.
Claire's honestly not that bad for a bully. She comes off more as a competitive rival than a villain with some elitist tendencies. Compare her with Draco Malfoy whose family sided with the death eaters a cult of genocidal dark wizards.
A little problem with the dialogue. After Miss Claire pushes Rae down, she says "I'm so very sorry" and then tells Rae not to expect an apology. It's a small thing, but they fix it in the English dub.
Other anime protagonists: - Get stronger, punches bully through wall - Gets a lot of friends, who punch bully through wall This heroine: *bury her with masochism* Also works when it's a guy bullying a guy. "But... but Sensei! He said he wanted more!! Wait, don't call the cops!!"
There’s a similar to manga to this. Where a person got reincarnated as a villainess in an otome game. Hairstyle is very similar, but instead that person that got reincarnated is originally a bald salaryman in his 50’s.
How to stop the bullying: just crush on your bully Honestly, Japanese midia is amazing. Everytime they make lgbtq content it feels so enjoyable and fresh. I genuinely dont know why american midia doesn't have this same feel
American media doesn't showcase the struggle 99% of queer people face everyday well, while queer media from conservative countries portray what it means to be queer much better making it easier to relate and understand the characters.
@ano_nym Guessing you haven't read the damn light novels, have you? Every Volume post vol 1 has shown Rei talking about the struggles she faced in modern-day japan. Also just because a story has fluff doesn't mean heavy shit can't be there.
If all the YURI CHARACTERS at the END OF THE STORY still don't have a HUSBAND, then I will be their HUSBAND, that is, if when I DIE, I MANAGE TO GO TO HEAVEN.
