In an effort to prove her kids and husband wrong, Claire (Julie Bowen) goes to great lengths to get security camera footage of a grocery store incident in which she was pushed into a tower of cans. However, her family, including Haley (Sarah Hyland), Alex (Ariel Winter), Luke (Nolan Gould), and Phil (Ty Burrell), believe that Claire has a problem with always needing to be right. About Modern Family:
The family at the center of “Modern Family” is headed by Jay Pritchett (Ed O’Neill), who is now married to his second wife, the young, gorgeous Gloria (Sofía Vergara), assumed by some to be his daughter. Jay’s very serious son, Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), and his gregarious husband, Cameron (Eric Stonestreet), become doting parents to Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons), the sweet Vietnamese girl they adopt. Though life isn’t always tidy, politically correct, or predictable, it’s always loving, heartwarming, and hilarious for this blended, extended-and truly modern-family.

Because yes it's frustrating when you tell the truth and people don't believe you, but the matter was so small that it shouldn't have bothered her so much. The fact that she went to so much trouble just to rub it in her family's face that she was right is just concerning. They were too worried that she was acting like a sociopath to be bothered about who was right 😂

Claire went to a lot of trouble to get proof, but she was right and they all forced her hand, especially Phil and he never apologised after Claire proved he was in the wrong.

Not to mention as well, towards the end of the same season that this episode is in, Phil owed more apologies to Claire, Haley, Alex and Mitch and he never apologised to any of them then either and got his way and what he wanted from them after he’d been insensitive , awful and cared more about protecting himself than thinking about them, his family. At least Claire had both Haley and Alex on her side against Phil in the *Leap Day* episode.

If you go to that length just to prove you are right, you have a problem. It's okay to be right, but you should obsess over it like she did. If you are right, then you don't need to prove it to everyone else, what matters is that you know you're right.

To be fair Claire was gaslighted for the entire episode, I don't give a shit about being right about things, but if you come at me and call me a liar or make me doubt myself, I'm coming at you with everything I've got even just to find out if I'm actually the problem.

With the rizz Phil had with women without even trying, it's surprising he settled for Claire. Despite being portrayed as somewhat emasculated, he provided a comfortable living for a five-person household in SoCal, which is badass by itself. Throughout the show, we see Phil’s skills as a shooter, golfer, horse rider, and basketball player to name a few. He was an excellent dad-lighthearted most of the time, yet strict when necessary. But then again, we’re talking about fictional characters here.

Claire is overbearing and a control freak, but she does show genuine care and love for her kids as a mother and even by having and showing those qualities to show her devotions as a parent at times.

Like i get going to extreme lengths to prove you’re right is too much like baby Mitchell in the washer to prove her point. But here it was valid. They all said things to her and acted like she was the crazy delusional woman and when she shows them that’s not what happened they don’t even apologize. And Phill?? He has always been eyeing and flirting with other woman even when Claire is present and she has to always tolerate it. Poor Claire. She deserved better than Phill tbh. He might be a great dad but he should be grateful to have Claire with him after all of that.
